Default BPRD:Hell On Earth:Return of the Master

    http://www.comicsalliance.com/2012/0...g-this-summer/

Article includes another Alternate cover by Mike Mignola and it looks awesome. As does the actual storyline.

Ah, cool. Ryan Sook is back on cover duties for this miniseries. First cover looks interesting:

I don't know how Rasputin could come back after Darkness Calls. We have to remember that no one has said Rasputin will return yet, 'The Master' doesn't have to refer to him. Although the reappearance of Zinco/Kroenen/Kurtz does imply Rasputin it could be a double bluff.

I'd really rather not see Rasputin return and after Darkness Calls, I don't believe that he will either.

I think readers would do well to differentiate between both the character Rasputin and 'the catalyst to what made Hellboy appear into

the living world when he did'.

Eventhough it might be unlikely for the character Rasputin to be 'returning to his former capacity ever again', since any such a capacity

would seem to be but 'formerly'. And also since he would have been amounting to being but a character who ought to have been

staying dead but didn't - from the get-go - pretty much.

But now that Hellboy In Hell would be to start and since it seems to be an aim for the B.P.R.D. as a title to be touching upon

Hellboy-related stuff as how it does, I could imagine how it might be good narratively to be underlining or pointing towards any further

deliberating upon how Hellboy's summoning would have taken place, in a storyline such as this one, if at all?

(Anyone making it through these couple of sentences without a scratch or worry: I applaud you)

Been called a 'good egg'. Been told to rock, been told to steady myself. Been told to (please) be goin' places.
Chillingly good stuff besides Mignola, Slint, M, Knut and really big chunks of tinfoil?
Half sunk in the mud, with one eye showing / a cracked smile and hair still growing /
your hands miles apart, as if they'd never met / you were the happiest I'd seen you yet

I second that. The sense of finality in Hellboy/BPRD stories is important, things get cheapened and feel more mainstreamy if major villains keep coming back to life. I trust the creative teams enough to give them the benefit of the doubt whatever this means though!

Those wolf monsters look pretty similar to the werejaguar, perhaps what ever the master is will be related to that somehow.
