So did The Other have a Skrull chin or was it a Thanos Titan chin? But if the alien army is from Jupiter why didn't they just fly to earth instead of wasting time opening that portal? Why where the Chitauri and their space whale taxis remote controlled? Did the aliens only have one ship and a crazy asteroid with 2 people? I enjoyed the movie but I really need some more back story on the aliens. Maybe that is Thor 2.

I liked each different Avenger's reaction to the Schwarma:

Thor and Banner seemed to be the only ones who enjoyed it.

Tony seemed to *try* to enjoy it, but it wasn't quite what he expected.

Black Widow was too out of it to really care, but she made an effort to enjoy it.

Cap and Hawkeye were just too wasted to care.

Ebert gave Iron Man 1 four out of four stars, so I don't think he has anything against the genre.

Saw it again for the 2nd time. Just better and better. My gosh this is how it is done. Hopefully one day we may get to see a Justice League movie that is this good.

it still amazes me how many people leave the theater BEFORE the credits end, despite each previous Marvel movie involved has had an extra scene. The Avengers contained TWO, one after the first set of creditd and an additional scene at the end of all the credits. Many people left even before the first extra scene. They must not be true fans :\

In my case, it was 3 am and I just wanted to get some f***king sleep. I saw the bad guy reveal, geeked out, and decided if there was anything at the very very end it couldn't be that important. Besides, Hulk's only "extra" scene wasn't even at the end of the credits, for which I'm grateful to the director. I thought perhaps Avengers had done the same thing.

I had a huge problem with the nuke, because there were aliens invading from a portal in the air, so to stop them from invading, they were going to nuke the city.
How does that make any sense?
You kill all the aliens currently attacking, that's got to be discouraging. Besides, although the field around the tesseract was said to be invincible, knocking down the building it's mounted on might not be good for the portal.

I'm not saying, "Yay! Nuke 'em all and let God sort 'em out." I'm saying the alien threat was made as credible as it should have been. Hell, everything besides the floating dragon transport things were fairly easy to kill. Eventually the normal military would likely prevail.

We all left before the 2nd extra scene because it was like 3 am when the movie was over, i had been drinking before the movie started, and getting out of the theatre was a pain in the ass.

I was going to post a big long review that no one would read and then realized it wasnt necessary...

Best. Superhero team movie. EVER. I'll even say best comic book movie ever.

and since it's the only team movie that exists, I feel safe in saying that its the best...but this is a huge game changer. DC cant just jump out and throw JLA at us can they? They need to at least establish Superman. Batman is safe, but that is about it movie wise for DC...

Mystery Men was a superhero team movie off the top of my head. And League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was a comicbook team movie that you could argue was super heroes. But yes Avengers is the best comicbook and or superhero team movie ever.

    I need some shawarma.

    On the nuke -

I think if you nuke Stark Tower, the combination of the power source going up and a mushroom cloud would render the portal above Stark Tower useless.
