I remember really liking what Crispin Freeman did with Holland Novack on Eureka Seven. Tara Strong pretty much rocked the house as Bubbles on the Powerpuff Girls. speaking of which Roger Jackson is pretty awesome too-- Mojo Jojo. even if that was his only voice it would be one for the ages.
and of course, Mel Blanc: who deserves his own respect thread--
Frank Welker-- if there was an animal on a cartoon-- he probably made those sounds (oh yeah, and Megatron).
Chriss Latta only really did one voice I can remember-- but he certainly embodied "Starscream" when it came to how he talked... lol. I think he took the name quite literally.
Ah yes, VAs. Growing up, I was always interested in who were the people that were voicing my favorite cartoons. Always liked to read the credits, find names, and listen for the same voice in other shows.
As for my current favorites right now, it's got to be
Laura Bailey
and
Eden Riegel
I've listened to Laura for over a decade now, ever since she was on Yu Yu Hakusho. I'm glad to see that she's doing high profile stuff now. She's become the voice of Chun Li and Angela Harper in Resident Evil 6. I hear she will be the voice of the Black Widow in Avengers Assemble.
Eden is a relative newcomer to voice acting, but she's had a ton of daytime soap opera experience. She's also Sherry Birkin in Resident Evil 6. What's also cool is that her brother, Sam Riegel, was the voice of Donatello in the 2003 TMNT series and Phoenix Wright.
Of course, both Laura and Eden are hot!Unfortunately both of them are married

"A man of peace who fights like ten tigers."
Kevin Conroy & Mark Hamill.
They're still Batman & Joker to me. I hear their voices any time I read a Batman comic now.
Eh, Comics is a pretty cool guy...
Today there happens to be a cool interview with Rob Paulsen over at the AVClub

Wow, that guy has been in tons of stuff.
"There's not much of a difference between a stadium full of cheering fans and an angry crowd screaming abuse at you. They're both just making a lot of noise. How you take it is up to you. Convince yourself they're cheering for you. You do that, and some day, they will. And that's how Sue Cs it."- Sue Sylvester, "Glee"
Both of them are actors who have done a live action material. Eden herself has made daytime television history for playing the first lesbian character in a soap opera. There are some ...nice clips of her

Y'know what's great is that a couple of months ago some of the biggest names in the VA industry, like Paul Robsen, Kevin Conroy, Tara Strong, Billy West, and others did a read through of the Star Wars script in some of their most famous voices. Check it out:

As for Paulsen himself, yeah I am quite impressed with his resume. Over 20 years and still going strong. Blows my mind that Raphael is now playing Donatello!
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace who fights like ten tigers."
Just wanted to give a shout out to one of my favorite voice actors, Steve Blum:
Getting into anime during the late 90s/early 2000s, Steve was the quintissential voice actor. He had a cool, laid back voice that could be dark or funny. He's the reason why Spike Spiegel, Mugen, and Makoto Shishio are some of my favorite anime characters.
Still, I really dislike his Wolverine. Seriously, sounds like someone who is trying real hard at being Wolverine, but not quite hitting the mark. Cal Dodd, from the 1990s X-Men series, will ALWAYS be Wolverine for me.

"A man of peace who fights like ten tigers."
Thank-you for this thread, I whole-heartedly support this. It is a shame too many voice actors DON'T get the respect they deserve (in Japan, I believe they do... but it's a much bigger industry).
My favourite voice actor: Tara Strong
Voice of Bubbles in the Powerpuff Girls and Rikku in Kingdom Hearts; she also regularly contributes to Family Guy, Fairy Odd Parents, Wolverine and the X-men, Ben 10, Rugrats, the Boondocks; and she's been nominated for an Annie for Best Voice Acting (which is one of the most prestigious awards you can recieve for voice work); and an Emmy award for her voice work.

"I don't know how to please you Lord, but I think the fact I try to please you, pleases you."
Jennifer Hale is my favorite voice actress so far with an impressive resume to boot:
Ms. Marvel- Avengers EMH
Carol Ferris- Green Lantern TAS
Ice- Batman Brave and the Bold
Giganta & Killer Frost- Justice League
Any excuse to post this clip. It's an hour and twenty minutes, you've been warned.
Tara is amazing. First noticed her when she was on Extreme Ghostbusters. I like the fact that she changed her distinctive voice for the Teen Titans series. Her Raven voice was very different from what she had done before.
Glad to see Jennifer Hale is still around. I fondly remember her from the 1990s Spider-Man series where she was Black Cat. She's great in her role as Phoenix in the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
Need to list another favorite of mine and an all time great, Grey Delisle:
I think she and Tara Strong are usually considered to be the top two female voice actors right now. She's been in a ton of cartoons and has a background in music. My favorite role with her are Azula from A:TLAB and Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace who fights like ten tigers."
Check the usual suspects mentioned already of Jennifer Hale, Tara Strong, Grey DeLisle, Laura Bailey, Steve Blum etc.
No mention of David Hayter or Nolan North yet? (Edit: and Troy Baker, I knew I forgot somebody).
Oh and Clancy Brown, but he is also reknown as a regular actor.
