I know, right? Reminds me of this crappy old movie I saw. The whole thing's named after this bird statue everyone's looking for, but then the statue's barely in it! Instead, we get like an hour and a half of this old detective guy with a goofy voice. Total ripoff.
Who are Spider-Man's Greatest Villains? Find out here!
It's bad enough Sam Jackson replaces him in all other media. But in 616? That's way too much. Also, it says in a lot of places that the Infinity Formula wore off the REAL Nick Fury and that time will catch up to him. However, that cannot be, because his body is now able to regenerate it.
Sorry for going off on this tangent. It's just whenever I see Sam Fury, I turn into a rage monster.

Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!
This was probably my least favorite SS issue, but it was still pretty good, like pizza. I was hating on the art as I started reading, but it grew on me by the end.
His memory's gone! Or...is it? It's not hard to fake amnesia! The Goblin is capable of anything!
A solid done-in-one issue. Not my favorite SS issue but still a good read. I actually liked how easy the bomb was to defuse. The main point of the story was that Kaine decided not to bail on his responsibilities, even at the potential cost of his own life. The bomb was more of a MacGuffin than something that was important in and of itself.
The talking with spider power really sucks. Sorry, i really did not like that. Let's hope Kraven makes an appearance in the next issue but i feel it's just too soon...
I write comic book reviews every Wednesday using pages from each book. Check it: Is It Good?: All the Best Books of the Day Reviewed!
Best line of the issue definitely had to come from Kaine;
Kaine: Do I look like a scientist?
I swear that's an inside joke since he looks like Peter, especially with the art in the issue.
Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.
I realize I am probably alone on this, but the art is a downgrade to me. More campy than before in my opinion. Plus Stegman got the details of Houston correct. Hopefully they will rectify this in the future.
"You're supposed to be a super hero, for Pete's sake!"
Heh.
-Pav, who thought it was a good issue in regards to the Kaine-Layton relationship, but wished we could've had a real super-villain in the issue as opposed to a bunch of random gunmen...
Loved it althought it read really fast. But I guess that makes sense when the whole issue covers like 30 min.
Also I thought it made sense that angry racists didnt think to build an antitamper device into their bomb, so all it took to diffuse it was yanking out the wire. XD
I dont mind the art change.
I loved Kaine teasing the cop about being a pus about torturing terrorists >.>
Iron man and sheild have to know who Kaine is, i cant imagine he will just turn around and go home. But after killing the Queen in SI, and now saving Houston I bet theyve moved his name down the list of priorties. Heck hes prolly still legally dead.
My favorite part of the book was Kaine's reaction to finding out the media/public has dubbed him the Scarlet Spider..... "I swear to God, I'm being punished." That had me rollingOverall the story was ok & definitely my least favorite of the series so far BUT thats really not a negative when you consider how great the first four issues were.
