First time I had to vote for Action Comics, Morrison's story was fantastic this time.
Second would be Green Arrow and third is a tie between Dial H and Earth 2.

Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
This is a tough one. In one hand, I have two great first issues in Dial H and Earth Two. In the other, what I feel is the best issue of Action Comics yet, and that's coming from someone who has enjoyed the run so far. And if you want, I could include Swamp Thing and Animal Man, two very good books that have been great so far, yet feel like they need just a little something more, Animal Man in particular seems to have slowed down a bit too much.
For me it came down to Earth Two and Action. So I flipped a coin.
Action it is.
Picked up Action, Batwing, Dial H and Earth 2.
Action was pretty damn good; after the last time we ventured away from the main storyline (bringing the Legion into the fold), I was left very confused, but this was a much simpler affair and it worked nicely; the twisted use of the Superman concept in the other Earth was very well executed. This only wasn't Book of the Week for me because of stiff competition and the somewhat lame backup (apart from the last page which left us contemplating how much should Superman-23 use his powers, the rest of it was a very black and white, America vs Middle-Eastern tyrant affair, which isn't particularly inventive).
Batwing was good as ever, but I agree with commentators that Batwing seemed to feel in control far too much; though that is what he does best.
Earth 2 was an excellent opening issue with great twists. I care not that the Earth-2 trinity barely featured; I'm happy to sit and wait for the story to play out provided the narrative remains just as good.
Dial H. It's everything it promised to be. Great concept; great execution; amazing art. Book of the Week.
Dial H for me. It was actually somewhere in the top 3 alongside Animal Man and Swamp Thing, but those two always get my Week 1 vote.
I still hate that Action, Animal Man and Swamp Thing come out on the same poll week...
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
i read
Action Comics #9
Dial H #1
Earth Two #1
Stormwatch #9
Swamp Thing #9
and voted for Swamp Thing although it wasn't the strongest issue of the run so far. overall a mediocre week for me.
Dial H is not for me. Earth 2 is interesting. i usually hate alternate timelines and "what if" kinda stories (didn't really care for Action this week), but this seems to have some ties to the current DCU so i'm keeping it for a while.
if i could go back and vote again, i'd vote for FCBD The New 52 #1. absolutely loved that issue. very exciting stuff...
It's gotta be Earth-2, with World's Finest right behind it.
Stormwatch, Red Lanterns, and JLI were all good as well.
Didn't care for Action Comics, and decided to drop it. I just can't get into this title.
I agree! What an exciting comic, and it was free!
DC is doing it the right way.

I seriously miss Captain Mar-Vell.
Indeed. I had a pretty tough time deciding on the best.
But eventually I went for Earth 2. Whilst Worlds' Finest blew me away a bit more on the day, I put that down to the fact I hadn't seen any previews of it, whereas I'd already seen Nicola's pencils for most of Earth 2 #1. The other thing I'd say is, Dial H was a decent read but I didn't see anything particularly creative or special about it to back up all the hype about it or the writer. It was a reasonably interesting first ish, but I'm not even sure I'll keep reading.
1) Earth 2
2) World's Finest
3) Animal Man
4) Action Comics
5) Swamp Thing
6) Green Arrow
7) Dial H
I thought it would be Earth 2 until I read my last book, Worlds' Finest. Wonderful interplay between the characters, and just a lot of fun. Earth 2 had good writing and top-notch pencils by Ms. Scott, but Huntress and Power Girl win by a nose.
I also just realized my copy of Green Arrow wasn't in my folder; a question for Wednesday.
Pull list:
Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Worlds' Finest, My Little Pony, Sword of Sorcery, The Flash, Animal Man, Birds of Prey, Lone Ranger
Batwing was good as usual, but imo Action Comics was just outstanding.
Dorothy: How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking.
Gotta love those Wizard of Oz quotes
In order of goodness...
Dial H #1
Earth 2 #1
Batwing #9

I got Batwing, Detective, Earth 2 and Worlds' Finest this week.
3. Detective 3/5- It was a decent tie in issue to the Night of Owls but nothing special really.
2. A tie between Batwing and Worlds' Finest 4.5- Batwing continues to be a great book and one I look forward to and Worlds' Finest hooked me enough that I want to see more.
1. Earth 2 5/5- This book had it all and left me wanting more. The art by Nicola was top notch and the premise of an earth without the Trinity is very intriging to me. I haven't been this excited about a comic since I first started reading them.
I voted for Earth 2.
Current Top Ten Comics: Earth 2, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Talon, Demon Knights, Transformers: Regeneration One, Young Avengers, Batman Beyond Unlimited, Nightwing, Flash, Aquaman
I just can't bring myself to buy Earth 2 . . . it would feel like I was betraying all I enjoyed over the years of the REAL Justice Society of America.

Why do all the good books come out the same week? Frustrating after last weeks drek.
