I like Uncanny mostly for what I hope we'll be talking about later:

Cyclops and Emma starting to verbalize the J-word about Hope together.

Emma going too far with Namor.

Storm having to kill some shit so she can remember she's a fucking insane god creature too (as are most of my faves) and not so perfect.

Danger wanting to fuck Unit. (lol it would be hilarious)

Goat-Girl doing something, anything against orders.


Colossus doing or saying something, anything interesting.

Yeah, WatX is just plain better. I'm really not that excited about Uncanny's threads.

What gets everyone excited about Uncanny, really?

It's not exactly fun or new, so the focus should be on the explosive personalities...but I'm really not seeing much drama there.


WatX is zany because all of its focus characters are freaking psychos. It's supposed to be fun.

Uncanny needs a boost. I want to see evidence of the powder keg that is advertised.

The writing in Uncanny, not the characters, is what makes it great. WATX is a bunch of lame overextended jokes. Aaron should keep it gritty, his strength, and leave the bwa ha ha to funnier writers.

Blue side is probably going to get a relaunch/reload after AvX. With Generation Hope gone and New Mutants not doing great, they need to shake things up. Also there have been hints that Gillen may be leaving Uncanny.

He has stated that all of his run has been leading to AvX. Not much to go by and I'm not claiming that he is definitely leaving post-AvX but there is a slight chance.

He said quite recently that at the moment he has up to #17 scripted. Also, bits of #18.

Ok didn't know that. Good news then since he's been doing a good job on the title. And I didn't jump to any conclusion, neither did I proclaim from the rooftops that Gillen was obviously leaving the title and anyone who didn't believe it was an idiot. But you can believe whatever you want.

It seems this poll is in accord with the sellings of both magazines, both doing great with uncanny a little on top of watx.
