I just re-read the entire arc, Batman 1-9. Been starting to re-read the New 52 series I am collecting since I've been busy the past few months and only have read most issues just the one time right after I bought them.

Anyway I think this Owls arc has been exceptional. Absolutely one of the best Batman stories I have ever read. But to make this comment relevant to this thread, I thought issue 9 was the weakest issue of the run. Not bad by any means but it felt like the story didn't progress as much as it did in most issues, and the "cool moments" didn't hit quite as hard as the cool moments in other issues.

Still though, a kickass run. Reading the whole thing in one shot really makes me want to collect the Owls tie-ins too.

Issue 9 is definitely not the weakest issue to me. I enjoy watching Bruce kicking the shit out of the Talons.

The weakest part of this run for me is either issue 4 or issue 7, the breather issue. I also didn't love issue #5, the labyrinth issue as much as everyone else.

Just finished reading this issue. Awesome batmobile and love the art and story from the Fall of house Wayne.

I really liked the film grain art style that Capullo used for the flashbacks in issue 4. And I thought the Bruce / Dick scene in issue 7 was a big turning point / reveal that made the issue.

Again, I don't think issue 9 was bad, but I just read them all one after the other, and 9 didn't really entertain / grab me as much as the others. I will say that the backup for 9 was excellent.

I think 9 is the least interesting Batman issue to come out in 52.

Actually I think this entire Night of the Owls crossover has been a huge letdown. I was really looking forward to it when it was announced, but I've read all of the released NotOs issues, and they pretty much all suck.

Yeah, this was a really entertaining and fun issue.

Snyder's really impressing me and I'm going to be getting Black Mirror. He's made me a regular Bats reader again after years of not being one.

I wanna co-sign all of this. I loved this issue.
Back when Bruce was trapped in the labyrinth people were saying they couldn't wait until he turned the tables and started busting skulls... And now that he is people are complaining that his confrontation with the Court isn't cerebral enough. I just think Snyder is aiming not to repeat himself. If the final battle with the Court was a series of mind games, people would be complaining that this was just a repeat of The Black Mirror.
When you get right down to it, I read 'Batman' to see Batman being awesome, and this issue delivered in spades.

I am enjoying it, what makes the writer so great is that the story is captivating making you want to know more, all while making sure all characters have different voices.

I only just got round to reading it so forgive me for being late to the party: That March scene was damn annoying. "Bruce Wayne" He proclaims when Batman enters. Then after the shock it's all "Bruce wayne...I have a message for him" he even does it a second time in the same scene. The issue is very pretty but this whole story is ridiculously bled out for so little actual threat. I know Snyder is playing the whole mystery thing but NINE issues in I want some kind of face to what this court is or at least some actual motivation! Zombie ninjas don't cut it no more. And how about the back up story? Beautiful art but Snyder seems to be worrying headed in the direction that Martha Wayne has something to do with the court, Though maybe that'll be another fake out.

Yeah, this might've been my least favorite issue of the series so far, either this one or 8. This story just feels like it could've been condensed down to 7 or 8 issues. I hope the final two issues really step up a notch.

I've been liking this issue. The cover is just really awesome to me, sorry, just had to get that out.

It doesn't seem like a LOT happened, and the whole bat and owl story was a bit too contrived but since it ultimately didn't affect anything, I guess it was ok. I'm more interested in seeing what happens now than exactly what happened with Bat's Iron Man suit, but it was still a good read to me. Call me easily amused if you will, but I liked it.

I read it this morning and I hated he killed Lincoln March. But regarding other matters, this owl thing is starting to bore me. It's not bad but I think the plot didn't advance very much in this issue and I can't really start to believe that that two evil organizations were behind the Waynes almost at the same time. Fortunetaly, the crossover is almost done. The thing I liked about this issue was Batman kicking owl ass especially using the t-rex to smash them, quite clever,

Not to say this was a bad issue - it wasn't - but there just wasn't anything particularly remarkable about it to justify giving it such a high rating. Bruce slipping out of the armor and back into costume to finish off the Talons was cool, but pretty predictable. The back-up was probably the highlight of the issue for me.

Issue #9 was okay, kind of boring and the art was a little lackluster for me and definitely wasn't Capullo's best Batman art, it just kind of felt rushed to me. The story was okay, but personally......I'm kind of getting tired of the Owl's, but it's been a pretty enjoyable way to tell the story of Batman in the new DC universe and I'm enjoying it as a whole. I hope we can move the story along after the Owls storyline, I'd like to see some classic rouges in the core Batman title, I feel like most of them have been used in Detective Comics, which has been great, but I'd like to see Capullo draw some classic characters before his time on the book is up.

Snyder's been doing a good job with writing the self titled Batman book, I hope he sticks around for a while and really leaves his mark on the series. It seems like nobody sticks around for very long and creative teams change every few months, so seeing Snyder and Capullo stick around on Batman would make me happy.
