It's great to see Batman kicking Owls' asses
"Criminals are a cowardly, superstitious lot." - Dick Grayson
"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard." - Damian Wayne
Oh my god this arc keeps getting worse.
Love the technobabble explaining the suit even though it makes no sense, at all.
With all the Owl-related "history" (read: retcons) I wonder why Bruce didn't become Owlman?
Then stop wasting your money then?

I like how the cover art:
is a nod back to issue #4:
Just instead of the Owls looking at Batman it's the other way around.
Reading: A Comics, Superman, Superboy, Batman, B&R, Nightwing, G Lantern, GL:NG, The Flash, J League, T Titans, Earth 2, World's Finest and Smallville S.11!
Watching: Young Justice.
Ah good catch
I never noticed that. Well spotted. Cant wait for this issue! Loving this run.
Man, this is why I love Snyder's work! This storyline may not be as good as his masterpiece on Detective, but I believe this to be so good that it is on the bordline as one of Batman's best stories!
Oh wow, didn't notice that. Issue 4 would be the only issue I have a variant cover, guess I should just try getting #9's variant cover ha ha.
Action Comics, Batman, Justice League, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Night Wing, The Flash, Batman And Robin, Teen Titans, Batman Inc. , Earth 2, Avengers Vs Xmen
As intriguing as all this bats vs. owls symbolism is, I wonder if its being taken a bit too far. First, the bat which inspired Bruce to become Batman was attacked by an owl. And now, the Wayne family let loose owls in the cave to get rid of the bats...
Having said that,I'm glad to see Bruce as the predator in this situation, rather than the prey...after all that growing dread about the owls and their conspiracies, we now have Bruce pummeling them into submission like he would any other villain; which is ultimately what a 'Batman' book should be all about!
BTW, did anyone notice that Bruce's new armor vaguely resembles the suit from DKR?
I'm not completely sure, I believe when I read that issue I was under the impression it was symbolism. But in "Batman: The Return," Morrison gave us some back story on that particular bat; I believe he was attacked by another bat(s?). Whether or not that's still canon, I'm not sure either.
