I loved Earth 2. Nicola Scott's art has gotten really, really amazing! Also, I loved seeing Wonder Woman's bloody death - too cool. Also, my favorite Flash showed up looking all sexy at the end (kinda), so I am hooked.

I was lukewarm on World's Finest. George Perez's art doesn't do much for me anymore, but the writing was pretty good. I'll give it a few more issues before deciding whether to keep with it.

Marcus To feel kind of wasted on Batwing because he's so great drawing beautiful ladies doing awesome things. I don't think even I would be able to resist WF with To on it.

Finally got the chance to read these two. I went in expecting to love World's Finest. Been a huge Huntress fan for years and always liked Power Girl's ability to just jump into action and think about it later. With Earth 2, I was a bit worried about this 'reintroduction' of the JSA characters since they've been pretty much the same characters forever. Well, what a surprise I had.

Earth 2 was great. I didn't mind seeing the Trinity perish because they've never been what I thought of as the JSA. I really liked the idea of the war with Apokolips in which the world is saved at the cost of all their heroes (I think I read that right... these were the only known heroes on Earth 2?) and its been years since their death. And then we move into a new age of heroes and will get to see them born from the beginnings. Al, Alan and Jay have one thing I always love in my heroes, real lives behind those masks. Really great first issue.

Then we come to my other surprise. I was so underwhelmed by World's Finest. The burning of the Bertinelli passport starts the issue. Like I stated above, I love my heroes to have real lives behind their masks but this version of Huntress doesn't have one. We get a hint at Karen's (which I think as been too ignored for years) but now I'm not sure if its going to be any more than lip service that its been in the past. Frankly, I came away from reading the issue to not care about either. I will keep reading looking for improvement but definitely not a great start.

I came out of Earth 2 wondering how Al's mission goes. If Joan has really left Jay for good. How cool it is to see Alan as a business man. And of course, how they become heroes. With World's Finest, I couldn't even connect with how if must feel for them to be stuck on an alien earth. I didn't make peace with the idea of Helena Bertinelli had to die for this version of the Huntress to live to see her this boring.
