Default Is there a tendancy for mainstream comic plots to spring out of loose ends?

I'm asking this in the indie forum since it's still a question about comics but I'm assume that if you guys are fairly knowledgeable about indie comics then your answer will be more objective since your more used to reading stuff that's out of the norm. For instance stuff springing out of loose ends is the whole reason for the post-"Second coming" arc New mutants comics to come to be and it's the stuff like "Secret Avengers".Hack,I think you can say that a lot of spin offs come out loose ends. However is this more common in mainstream comics then say indie comics or manga?.

Since I have no idea what you're talking about, I'd say yes.
