I wouldn't mind Zeke becoming the new Iron man he is kind of a douche... but so is Tony

I really enjoyed the scene with Tony taking down Crimson Dynamo and Firebrand, but then his armor being "revoked" at the worst time, and Detroit Steel coming in to take credit for the work.

Watching Stane and Sasha talk to each other is interesting too. Stane kept saying Mandarin is controlling him, but he believes its not his rings but something else? Any ideas of what that could be?

i wouldn't because i know it won't last (Marvel needs Tony to make money). and zeke is kind of Stark's legacy anyways. he's unlikely to have children. and Arno won't be available of a good long while.

you got it on the first try. remeber the "after party" scene where they are congratulating Sasha on the mission? person asked where Dynamo and Firebrand were. she said that they were relaxing in another room. then she made that crack about the justice system. this was all a staged attack to market Detroit Steel.

Uh, I think Tony draws the line at being a terrorist who kills children. Stane's *motivations* are evil and self-serving, Tony's never have been. Mandarine is beating on Stane doesn't make him sympathetic.

Detroit Steele I can kind of see as a legit IM replacement... Stane? Never.

I'm liking this arc because the Tony torture makes it easy to root for his team. And I wouldn't mind a Dark Reign-style Stane takeover, but I'll be looking forward to the triumphant return where all these guys get the crap beaten out of them.

Something tells me if Zeke is in the armor, it's very storyline-based as opposed to changing the whole book. As in Zeke gets to wear the big boy pants for the duration of the storyline, as opposed to being Bucky Cap.

Didn't they also mention that the attack weakened the US economy due to Charlotte supposedly being a huge financial hub? (Wall ST, North Carolina?)

If IM2.0 is Zeke, then yeah, I definitely can't see it going beyond this arc. Ezekiel's sins are so many and so unforgivable that he can't be redeemed. Bucky, at least, was brainwashed into being the Winter Soldier, so he can't be held accountable for his actions (even if the bunch of xenophobic sheep that are the MU Public did so). Zeke willingly and gleefully sponsored terrorists who attacked innocent civilians, and did so for a long time. That's well beyond the anti-hero tragic past and into Complete Monster territory.

The only way Ezekiel could even begin to tip the scales is with a heroic sacrifice. To do otherwise would be like trying to make Sabretooth into an X-Man. Most of us remember how well that went...

So, do we really think, after Fraction leaves the title once he wraps up this awesome storyline, that the next Iron Man writer won't have Tony Stark to push around? there really isn't going to be a "next" Iron Man, right? I mean, just from a cynical business perspective, pretty sure Disney wouldn't like that!
