Small week for me this week. Only got Animal Man Annual #1, Wolverine and the X-men #11 and Transformers: RID#5 on my list. I did add Grim Leaper #1 to try it out but i don't think they've got enough as I didn't get a notification that it was added to my pull list.
Well last Avatar book I got from them ... they didn't even put in my pull box, I had to wait until a new shipment of Avatar came in. It was torture.
But this next one was pretty good. I'll wait until you get it to discuss it with you.
I also had them put "Fables volume 1" in my box. I've been saying I'll get it and every week I never get it. So thanks for giving me push I needed.
While Amazing Spider-man annual wasn't written by Slott I thought it was touching.
Of course it was touching. It had Uncle Ben in it. Of course, I found it to be 'meh'
The problem with the Annual is nothing is really explained and everything is solved too conveniently!
Uncle Ben is magically alive, Aunt May is no where to be seen. Jeez, Uncle Ben your son just magically appears and you don't think to call down your wife?
The other problem I have with this is that the writer ... who is Brian Reed and not the Dan Slott we all know and love decides to show us a world that is arguably better without Spider-man or Peter Parker.
- M.J has a career ... a real movie career
- The U.S has a budge surplus for three freaking years running
- And Norman Osborn invented a freaking cure for freaking cancer
That last one is enough to say the world is better without Peter Parker in it and then to top it all off, uncle ben is still freaking alive.
It's a miserable life, Peter Parker
We are told the quakes are happening because the world isn't right that Peter Parker is essential but they never really show us what he's doing that's important it's all just told.
It could have been a nice story but all in all, I felt it was much to complex for the 42 pages given to explain it.

Can anyone tell me whether or not I should get the Deadpool and Cable series? Or American Vampire? (I'm talking trades here)

The first time I saw love, it was hanging from a tree.
Of the three I bought today:
1. FF #18
Hickman delivers another winner. What a surprise. This book just can't stop being awesome.
2. Wolverine and the X-Men #11
This is easily my favorite series of the whole AvX crossover that I'm reading, and it's the first tie-in I've read so far that actually enhances what happens in the main book rather than adding to it.
3. Ultimates #11
Not as good as earlier issues, but still entertaining. Full thoughts in the main thread.
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!
I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others
I got Ultimates #11 and Walking Dead #98. After this issue I so can't wait for WD100!!!
Ghostbusters • Injustice: Gods Among Us • Invincible • Invincible Universe • The Manhattan Projects • Superior Spider-Man • Ultimate Spider-Man • Ultimates • Ultimate X-Men • The Walking Dead
1) Find a bad guy
2) Be Wolverine
Ultimate Wolverine is coming back, sort of!
Ha, I wish. But no, her friends actually hate me. And I can't understand that. I was the near silent, wallpaper type kid going through school. If you were my friend, I talked to you. But I was a bit too shy to approach anyone else. I've talked with these girls before, and it's like nothing I say is good enough. I tell an amusing joke, they tell me to shut up. These girls are bitches.

It depends on your tastes. Deadpool is a really goofy, humorous series. I personally love it and I would definitely recommend it. Cable is pretty different in that it's more of grizzled old man looking to shoot things. If you like Wolverine's solo series, I think you'll like Cable's solo series. As for American Vampire, I don't know too much about it so I can't say. But I would recommend getting the first TPBs to see for yourself. That or just buy a few old issues on Comixology to see if it's something worth following.

X-men Supreme
I totally forgot about the Batman Annual. My Comixology pull list must not be set up to list Annuals.
4. Amazing Spider-Man Annual #39
3. Batman Annual #1
2. Wolverine and the X-Men #11
1. The Ultimates #11
Personally, I tried Cable and Deadpool and just wasn't feeling it. It wasn't bad, it just kinda lost my interest. Wasn't funny enough or action-packed enough to hold my attention.
If you wanna give it a try before buying, I'd check out Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited. I think they have the entire series on there.
I haven't read American Vampire, but my wife has, and she enjoys it. (She's not a comic book fan, so that's kinda high praise from her.)
It took a month for my shop to get the first one as well I had to read it through different means the first time. I cant wait to read it though. Glad you got Fables Volume 1 in your box I am really looking foward to your thoughts but its recommeded that you read volume 2 as well to get a much better feel of what Fables is.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. It seems that I can skip it. Myabe Ill read it in the future. While Amazing Spider-man annual wasn't written by Slott I thought it was touching.
Of course it was touching. It had Uncle Ben in it. Of course, I found it to be 'meh'
American Vampire is great I am up to volume 2. It has a great twist on vampires and the characters and storylines so far have been great. I would recommend at least reading volume 1.
Oh man! TMNT! <3<3<3
