How is Saga? A buddy of mine strongly recommended it, but didn't elaborate much.

I'm loving it so far. These two people from warring planets have a child together and they're basically just trying to survive now. It's full of awesome aliens. It's weird, but the good kind, not Morrison weird. =p The art is really cool too. I'd recommend picking up the trade when it comes out.

The gun thing is not a argument seeing as many of the games are based on real life weapons should be pretty much the same. For me, in these games it pretty much comes down to Graphics/Sound, AI, and gameplay (campaign made only) and if your playing one of the better games the AI might be a little better but in my opinion its not much. The "guy" you play as in many of these games move in the same way again thats like with the guns you need this to make it real.

Again depending on the game and what you have to do on a mission you might have veichels or planes but for the most part its all very much the sametype of things getting moved to each game.

As for plot in the games, again depending on the type of game it is you will have the same story/plot becuase most of these games are made for online play and thats where most players spend their time and that to me is where a large majority of the same tpe of elements from each game cross paths.

I wish I could have gave a much better answer but I have not played a first person shooter for a year or 2 now.

I agree, there are tons of things I would love for Pokemon to do that it most likely never will becuase of how well it sells. For the first person shooters though I really dont see much a difference between a majority of the games. One game will take a huge jump and the next games that follow it will have for the most part the same thing but it might be just a little bit better at most. Then once you get to the online play and thats were the games to me become the same

I swore I wasn't gonna buy AVX, but I borrowed the first three issues from a friend and was hooked.

I'm buying AVX: VS digitally, so I'll be able to read it today. The rest will have to wait until I can get to my LCS this weekend.
Yeah, I've been buying all the tie-ins too. Marvel is killing it with the event. I love in the new issue how Wolverine gets lured XD

I was so frustrated with the past few big summer events that I decided to sit this one out.

I'm pretty sure Axel Alonso heard me say that to myself, because once it started I heard nothing but glowing praise.

I spent the first month fighting the urge to pick up issue #1, especially with two of my pulls (Secret Avengers, Wolverine and the X-Men) tying into the event.

I finally gave in when I was loaned the first three issues. I bought them immediately and added the rest of the event to my pull list.

    I feel like a traitor.

Dude the way today's issue ends makes me so pissed! Why do I have to wait three weeks for the next issue! I thought this was bi-weekly? I WANT IT NOW!!

So far I haven't given in yet lol. It's hard, especially when I'm looking at the solicitations.

Top five, and only five, of today's comics. I wasn't originally going to go to the shop due to a lack of Ultimate books, but then I realized there's three Hickman titles out.

    1. Fantastic Four #605.1
    2. Manhattan Projects #3
    3. Avengers vs X-Men #4
    4. AvX Versus #2
    5. Avengers #26

Hopefully Hickman brings something new to AvX, it still isn't doing much for me yet. And even-more-hopefully the Avengers will actually be in this week's Avengers, unlike the last two New Avengers issues. I'm dangerously close to dropping the Avengers books. If Hickman isn't taking over I almost definitely will. I'm also probably done with anything that Bendis writes that doesn't involve USM.

That's why he belongs on 616 Spider-man. His art fits older Peter and super old Aunt May way better. That cover's pretty great.

    Loeb's Wolverine looks freaking awesome!
At least it will look pretty. I can't say I care about the story though.
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!

I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others

The reason why COD is so respected is because of it's sensational frame rate. Developers need to start competing with Activisions tech instead of just doing another military shooter and hoping for the best.

The only book I got today was Avengers VS X-Men #4 and AvX #2. In all honesty, it feels like it's written by a twelve year old who just wants to write big fight scenes whilst making almost every character a small-minded arrogant baffoon. It's also an excuse to see fan-favourite characters beating the "snot" out of eachother. But that's why I'm reading it. For the most part, it's mindless fun, but it's called fun for a reason. It might be the usual mindless Marvel mash up that we've all gotten used to seeing but it's still worth it just to see a good superhero fight.

Plawsky, I agree with all of your last post. But please write on your hand or something that graphics are not a game mechanic. I fully agree with what you said about how graphics can add to the over-all gaming experience though. I wasn't debating that. But go ahead, ignore me like you always do.
