So I left work early. Told the other guys that I was having a plumbing issue at home. (Not a total fabrication. I do have a broken faucet that needs immediate attention.)

Got home to find my wife hanging out on the couch with the kids.

Apparently she thought I was kidding when I said I was on my way home, and she picked the kids up from day care early.

    FML.

I feel like this post deserves a response, but I've got nothing.

LOL, love it. That's not too far off. I often feel like I live in a treehouse full of monkeys.

(Oh my God, I just Googled "Candy Kong" and saw something that my eyes cannot unsee...)

So yesterday I visited New York City for the very first time. It felt way overdue. I've always lived about a 5 hours drive from New York and I've never visited. Well I did yesterday and it was really something. I visited two major comic shops and spent a total of $200 bucks on graphic novels. Still worth every penny in my mind! I hope to go back to New York this October for the New York Comic Con. Anybody else planning on going to that? Anybody going to try to make it out to San Diego this year? I've never had a chance to go to a comic con in the past few years, but now I might actually get to if work cooperates (which is a big if).

Thats a little like me with Toronto but I have been there a few times and it's about the same amount of drive time. I am not really a fan of cons though I only care to meet one creator and so it seems like it would be a waste of money for me. I have thought about going to Fan Expo in Toronto for the last 3 years but something comes up and I would rather do do the something else.

I have yet to go to New York City. The only comic convention I've been to has been Chicago Comic Con last year. Next year though, my friends and I are planning a trip to NYC for a sort of college road-trip thing since we're all supposed to be graduating then (though I will probably go another year or so). Making it out to SDCC is definitely on my bucket list as well.

That looks very similar to IM2's version. The blue coloring is new though.

    It still looks cool.
The first time I saw love, it was hanging from a tree.

A question for the UK guys:

Is it customary over there to end a phone conversation with "cheers"? I was on a phone call with a British guy at work the other day, and it caught me off guard.

It just means thanks so he was just saying thankyou and goodbye.
