I'm always getting out of work late, but tonight I have plans so I had everyone doing their job like they're supposed to and we still have an hour left, but there's hardly anything to do XD

Not sure I like the idea that the economy first have to collapse to make things better.
I would like for us not to hit rock bottom before we have to make a change.
You kindof do.Believe me, I don't want this world to get any worse. I hope I don't give the impression that I do.
Robbie_Jee: When we hit the worst of the shit, only then and only then can we improve things. Come on economy collapse!
XD
I didn't mean to imply that there was absolutely no deaths, but what ultimately happen was that there were too many people for their city to support and the remaining population just left the city due to starvation and disease and found the other non mayan native americans and mixed with those people.I'm sorry if I sound rude but seriously, the history books depict mass starvation (which is the ugliest thing you could imagine) in every empire that ever stood as a testament of Man's ingenuity. Every civilisation has crumbled due to it's stupid ignorance, to the belief that they have unlimited of everything and will stand the test of time. Surely we should've learned by now? Many people assume we'll die of nuclear bombs or war. I think that the scarcity of our resources is a much bigger threat. It's what's most likely to happen. And if we're all fighting over what's left, there will indeed be war on the streets.
I'm not sure it's correct to say the Mayan's all died out, because the native americans have a lot of mixed blood and there are people still running around claiming to have Mayan blood in them. How true that is ... who can say?
I wonder where the human race can go now if there are too many humans for the earth to support?
I was just saying, I think there are a few more factors involved then just scarcity but I'll get into that latter. The best way I can explain it is like this: Scarcity equals High Demand which creates Profit.
No, I get what you're saying. There's technology that's been around since the seventies that hadn't been put into commission because it wasn't profitable. Technology that could save lives. Instead of perfectly safe automobiles, we have laws that fine you for speeding.
Technology (when done with good intensions ie: to help rather than kill) SOLVES problems every time.
Laws help us to just MAKE DO and COPE with these problems.
Unfortunetly it is much more profitable to fine people for their mistakes, raise taxes etc.
You see, crime is extremely profitable. But let's not get into that because that's some real deep shit right there about the Monetary Market system and the depression of humanity that fuels it. The sort of thing that can give you a headache.
Now I'm not saying we don't need law. I'm not an anarchist or anything.
In america we have this law called the "Click it or ticket it" law.
Basically, if you're not wearing your seat belt, then the police will give you citation for not wearing one.
I don't get this law. It's saying, drive safe and if you don't we will have you pay for not driving safe.
I can see if you have a little kid with you and he/she didn't have a seat belt and you were in dangering the child's life but not making him/her wear one but if only you are in the car and you aren't wearing one and you're a fully grown adult then what business is it of the government to give you a ticket for not wearing one?
But yeah, lets not get into that one.
Oh let's get one thing straight. He's just a guy, I work with. Not a friend of mine. He's much too pushy and rude to be my friend. And he doesn't underestimate it. He really thinks electric cars are just a technological dead end and that we shouldn't even try to improve it.Your friend really shouldn't underestimate how technology will improve. By being emergent to new information and new findings, we realise that there are better ways to do things.
ATM in time, most everyday electric cars aren't as quick as regular petrol/gas cars. This is probably why.
And if understand him correctly, any business that tries to improve the electric car should go under.
As for electric cars not being ready, most of that technology hasn't been here since the seventies it's been here since the middle ages. Oh sure they used it for different stuff but the idea was very similar (Wind, Water, Solar and Geothermal energy); I will conceded the fact that nuclear, and hydro fuel cells are very 20th century though lol
My point was that yeah, these clean sources of energy are available everywhere but the problem with it like the electric car is that these sources are still not as great as fossil fuel sources of energy. Sure coal and oil pollute the air, but at the present time they are simple more efficient then "clean/green" sources of energy.
I do believe that we can make it better but somebody has to be willing to put in the time, money and effort into this. The government isn't going to do it. The old hats in charge aren't willing to do it because fossil fuels are there bread and butter.
It's why I'm routing for Elon Musk
He or She is a person that goes to congress and petitions to have a law change and voices the communities opinion to government for change. This person can either be paid by big business or be a volunteer and devote their own free time to do this. [/quote]What's a lobbyist?
Oh just curious. I caught it on HBO sometime back and I think it's one of my favorite British shows.Yeah I watch that show. Ricky and the other two are cartoons aren't they in it. Yeah I think the show's hilarious and I'll always watch it if it's on. Why?
Whenever I get the chance, I go "Hey, you ever hear of this guy named Karl Plinkerton"?

Any scientist who isn't willing to kill for science isn't really a scientist at all.
Evening gents. How are you guys doing?
The first time I saw love, it was hanging from a tree.
Hey, TC you got the TMNT Microseries trade too right???

But our economy only economises the accumulation of paper. The banks don't economise our resouces in anyway. Our entire economy is a de-economising structure that makes the rich richer and the poor poorer. That's what the economy is designed to do.
The economy, our work efforts, all the business men and women, those busy busy bees buzzing about, getting to work, keeping the economy going. It all de-economises our resources. And the Market system also has a hand in that by promoting consumerism. That then equals profit.
The only reason why anything ever happens in this world is because it's either profitable or affordible. A structure that prevents us from mass producing our products and maximising our resources for the entire population of earth.
All I'm saying is: Our economy WILL collapse within our lifetime. The banks can't keep bailing out our governments forever. And when that happens we can start doing things better, less corrupt, logical and not dumbass and selfish. War would end. Because there'd be no military funding. Therefore preventing about 100 deaths per second. It's business that does all this. Not people who have different beliefs or points of view.
I'm not saying I want everything to go to hell. I'm just saying that our economy will indeed collapse.
And when it does, what will happen? This is a discussion that can go further than it already has but for now I'll end here on the subject. But what will happen to us when our economy collapses? I want to know what you think. We'll still have all our stuff. A huge tidal wave won't be coming to kill us all. But what do you think will happen? The Apocalypse?
I don't want to hit 'rock bottom'. And I don't think the downfall of our economy would be classed as rock bottom either. Rock bottom to me would be when we start really running out of our resources and everyone starts fighting over what we've got left.I would like for us not to hit rock bottom before we have to make a change.
S**t. No man I just want an alternative to this F'd up profitable corruptness. Did you know that our governments (US & UK) set up human trafficking and child prostitution within the middle east in 2009 because: 1. To destroy the country from within and 2. create as much profit as possible. You kindof do.
The only reason why anything ever happens in this world is because it's either profitable or affordable.
Oh yes, disease. Icky. New diseases are already cropping up. I hear immigration and heavy population in certain areas are the cause of Swine Flu. Horrible ain't it? What's the next 'plague' gona be?I didn't mean to imply that there was absolutely no deaths, but what ultimately happen was that there were too many people for their city to support and the remaining population just left the city due to starvation and disease and found the other non mayan native americans and mixed with those people.
Yeah true. But I meant that their civilisation and empire did really end and there was mass widespread starvation, draught and disease that killed thousands. It's the cause of death for every civilisation that's come before.I'm not sure it's correct to say the Mayan's all died out, because the native americans have a lot of mixed blood and there are people still running around claiming to have Mayan blood in them. How true that is ... who can say?
Here's something positive I can say.I wonder where the human race can go now if there are too many humans for the earth to support?
We have the technology, the resources and the feasibility TODAY to feed, water, clothe and shelter every man, woman and child on the planet.
But for reasons I've said before, our economic structure of profit and affordability will not allow it.
Look after the planet. And the planet will provide for everything we need.

There are. And I agree with how thorough that conversation could get. That's why I was so brief before. It's a very long winded discussion but the way I put it is in it's most basic form.I was just saying, I think there are a few more factors involved then just scarcity but I'll get into that latter.
But what happen if you a car smashes into you from the side? The current seatbelts don't protect you in that respect. But who needs ingenuity and adaptable ideas when you can have a law instead, put up legislations and fine people for accidentally breaking them. No, I get what you're saying.
In america we have this law called the "Click it or ticket it" law.
Basically, if you're not wearing your seat belt, then the police will give you citation for not wearing one.
I don't get this law. It's saying, drive safe and if you don't we will have you pay for not driving safe.
It's all good. I agree 100% :D. XDI can see if you have a little kid with you and he/she didn't have a seat belt and you were in dangering the child's life but not making him/her wear one but if only you are in the car and you aren't wearing one and you're a fully grown adult then what business is it of the government to give you a ticket for not wearing one?
But yeah, lets not get into that one.
Agreed. Geothermal energy and Fision are my favourites.
I'm sorry but I don't agree with this. Electricity, Fision, Geothermal energy and solar power are unlimited, clean, more efficient and faster. Oil is slow compared to new advancements. My point was that yeah, these clean sources of energy are available everywhere but the problem with it like the electric car is that these sources are still not as great as fossil fuel sources of energy. Sure coal and oil pollute the air, but at the present time they are simple more efficient then "clean/green" sources of energy.
Here's the kicker. Technology. It was made with human hands and human minds. Not money or establishments. Now is everything starting to make sense? Think about that for a minute and it will blow your mind. This is what I'm talking about.I do believe that we can make it better but somebody has to be willing to put in the time, money and effort into this. The government isn't going to do it. The old hats in charge aren't willing to do it because fossil fuels are there bread and butter.
I haven't checked this out yet but I will do and then I'll get back to you. ;)It's why I'm routing for Elon Musk

Yeah Karl is a ledge. You ever watch Idiot Abroad. Man that shit almost makes me wet myself.Oh just curious. I caught it on HBO sometime back and I think it's one of my favorite British shows.

Secondly, Don't you mean bollocks?
Thirdly. They're yeh feckin balls, man! Them dangly bits underneath yeh tackle.
But yeah it does mean rubbish. It's also an old term for 'bullshit'. Lol. Never knew you guys over there didn't know that.
