While that I agree he makes 616 Spider-Man look fantastic, until recently USM has ALWAYS had a cartoon/anime look.

At least it will look pretty. I can't say I care about the story though.

As you know, I am not a fan of resurrection stories, but apparently there is more to it than a simple resurrection. Also seeing how Sabertooth died, I can't wait to see what he's up to now!

The only book I got today was Avengers VS X-Men #4 and AvX #2. In all honesty, it feels like it's written by a twelve year old who just wants to write big fight scenes whilst making almost every character a small-minded arrogant baffoon. It's also an excuse to see fan-favourite characters beating the "snot" out of eachother. But that's why I'm reading it. For the most part, it's mindless fun, but it's called fun for a reason. It might be the usual mindless Marvel mash up that we've all gotten used to seeing but it's still worth it just to see a good superhero fight.

Apparently it's supposed to get less action-packed later on.

I'm finally getting caught up on more than a year's worth of X-Factor and my mind is blown. Not because it's good (which it is), but because I just realized that Rahne is pronounced like "rain." I've read more than 80 issues of X-Factor, 30 of X-Force and her few appearances in Ultimate X-Men, and I didn't know that.

While I agree that the AvX Vs. books are somewhat mindless, I don't think AvX #4 fits. That book actually had some twists and turns, namely with Wolverine and Hope's rather twisted plan for handling the Phoenix. Was it very elaborate? Of course not. Was it mindless? Not at all. In fact, I think AvX #4 was one of the best issues in the series thus far because it was able to fit the breadth of what was going on in the series into a single issue. Plus, the end was just amazing. The only problem I had with it is that we have to wait 3 weeks for the next issue. That's going to be a LONG wait.
