The first time I saw love, it was hanging from a tree.
Wonder Woman is a really good book, the only part that sucks for me is I have to wait a month for when the price drops on comixology. I really dont want to see her interact with "proper" superheroes like Supes, Bats, and Flash in her book anytime soon.
As a random non-616 connected story it sounds cool but if its part of the 616 seems like another page of confuesion for the X-books. Either way I dont care and wont be reading it
While I dont agree with Plawsky's overall views on this topic I have to say Golden Eye had really bad graphics. I thougth this as a 7 year old. The game is great but the look of it was nasty. I aslo agree that there are a few shooter games that are pretty much the same thing but not all of them and I feel many of them borrow from eachother which makes it worse.
Well for one they would have to be done as close as the comic as possible, Ultimates movie was so bad. So that said I would want a well done Ultimates volume 1, Ultimatum(which could be done right) so it would be more then a 10 minute movie, Ultimate Comics: Ultimates Volume 1 are the big ones I would want to see right away. I dont really care to see any Peter Spider-man but a Miles story would be pretty good.
Samorai, could you list elements that some shooters borrow from each other (and don't say 'they feature some of the same guns')?

Ultimate War was actually planned, but they scrapped it. I wish Disney would do 3 DTVs a year like WB.

This is what confuses me. Near as I can tell, Planet Hulk and the Hulk vs. titles were a success. So were the two Ultimate Avengers features. Yet for some reason, Marvel decided to scrap it's animated DVD features. In that time DC has continued to hit home runs with Justice League Doom and the Batman/Superman features. I really don't get why Marvel isn't trying to expand this market when DC is clearly putting a lot of resources into it. They've been able to sink resources into their cartoons so I really don't know what excuse they have, but I don't think it's a very good one.

X-men Supreme
So what's everybody's top five today?
5. Avengers vs. X-Men #4
4. Daredevil #13
3. Saga #3
2. John Carter: Gods of Mars #3
1. Adventure Time #4
Anyone who doesn't like Miles Morales is a racist.
I've only got four this week.
4. Justice League #9
3. AVX: VS #2
2. Daredevil #13
1. Avengers vs. X-Men #4
I swore I wasn't gonna buy AVX, but I borrowed the first three issues from a friend and was hooked.
I'm buying AVX: VS digitally, so I'll be able to read it today. The rest will have to wait until I can get to my LCS this weekend.
What I was talking about is more how the two work together. I suppose "gameplay" might not have been the best term to use. But basically, both elements have to be there for me to enjoy a game. If the graphics don't look good (or, rather, appropriate), then it takes away from the enjoyability of the gameplay. Skyward Sword was a good example of this. The game was still great, but I found myself frustrated that it didn't look better. But I know that's a limitation of the Wii, so I didn't mind too much.
Yeah, your mileage may vary on that. But I can definitely say I wouldn't enjoy a new Call of Duty game if the graphics weren't good.In all these examples, if the games played the same I'd argue they would be good games. You could argue the graphics might be inappropriate for them but they wouldn't be bad games.
I know the gameplay would stay the same, but it wouldn't be a Call of Duty game anymore. It would just be a different FPS. That was my point, the graphics would go against what the franchise is.And going back to your previous discussion with wyo about CoD cel-shading changing the gameplay. It wouldn't. The things concerning the gameplay would remain the same. Such as the gun mechanics (rate of fire, recoil, damage done, reload time, modifications you can make to them etc.), the health mechanics, any cover mechanics and things like the number of weapons you can carry.
See, this doesn't really bother me. I think this kind of stuff is necessary for healthy competition. The problem is when a new game takes an idea from another but doesn't make it unique. If it wasn't for borrowing from other games, Mario would be the only character we could platform with.
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!
I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others
