And why do you insist on placing the entire blame on Cyclops for the deaths after M-day? Do you blame the entire country of Germany for the Holocaust? Do you still hate Germans, even if they weren't even alive when the Holocaust occurred? Should the American Indians and the Japanese still be pissed off at the Americans for taking the Indian lands from them and for interning the Japanese Americans because of Pearl Harbor?
So how many deaths should we blame Wolverine for? Let's start with Mariko Yashida and go from there....blame him also for Jubilee being turned into a vampire because he totally neglected her after she lost her powers. And no, that very short visit while she was Wondra. Oh, and his children.....
nope i dont blame him for all the deaths...i blame him for the deaths that he was responsible for as leader. The kids on the bus that he sent away instead of keeping them protected. The mutants that died as part of his utopia army, the ones he sent on missions, during which they died (caliban, the ones that died during necrosha, and second coming)
he's on a to save the village we had to burn the village path..
Ok, I pretty much hate Cyclops and think he's an awefull leader, but don't people always die in X-Books? If anything you can compare under whose leadership the most die, but even so there are always different circumstances which aren't the respective leader's fault. You can blame him for his choices and their consequences, but not for every death. Nightcrawler for example sacrificed himself to protect Hope, that was his own call.
ill grant u that nightcrawler made the choice to protect hope.... but it was cyclops insistence on declaring her the mutant messiah that made others think they should die over her.
and for the record, i'm criticising his leadership overall.... Karma lost her leg, wolfsbane ate her father, angels got his wings ripped out, beast got tortured, and so on
Don't be ridiculous.
Hodge wouldn't have impaled Karma's leg if Xavier were leading the X-Men?
It's Cyclops' fault the Purifiers captured and brainwashed Rahne into ripping off Angel's wings and eating her dad? Rahne wanted to go to the Purifier's base by the way. It's her fault for wanting to see the Purifier's connection to her dad. I suppose it's Cyclops fault for her unresolved daddy issues?
Considering that Cyclops was a huge part of the reason the Phoenix didn't kill... well everyone, he saved them right?
Well if he saved everyone... he is entitled to let a few of them die ;-)
... what an odd topic...
Didn't Wolf Cub get killed during Young X-Men? That team was a bad idea on Cyclops' part and a bad idea on Marvel's part in the real world.
Actually, for that matter, at the end of that series didn't we find out that Dust was slowly dying from Magma attacking her early in the series? Like it was a future story where it was revealed, but the attack that caused it definitely happened. So Cyclops also got Dust killed, just not yet?
