Harvest wanted them to kill each other, they weren't going to do that, the first blood was spilled, etc.. Did you even read the issue?

Yes. What was the point of said "first blood"? Other than Tim being sad for a couple panels.

It was the obligatory "shocking, galvanizing death" scene. It served no other purpose than to get Tim mad enough to actually -lead- for a change.

add me to the ones suspicious of Artemis not being dead. she was slashed in the face and side, by the blood pattern.that isn't nessecarily a fatal injury, though it IS serious.

also, we know Terra is going to become a Ravager, so she survives, but Beast Boy is less certain. My prediction? Artemis either survives or is the only death, and some become Ravagers, the Legion returns to their time, and the rest of the named characters join the Teen Titans. Why? well, why bother with creating a character ( a fair bit of work seems to have been put into creating Artemis) just for them to be killed off in the first issue?

it's not a hint. That is basically Lobell saying Artemis is still alive. Good, i say, and I imagine it'll be very amusing when she reappears.

The sad part is I wish this was posted earlyer. I just picked up the issue. I liked the new design to Warblade and the material at the end was really fun, but that's about it

Yeah, those were the only two things-Warblade and the back design pages-that i liked about the whole issue.

Introducing Artemis just to kill her really seems like a dicked move. It was really a mean tease by the writers. "here ya go, we'll give you a character people have been asking for. Just kidding! Gotcha!" especially since her death seemed so forced. Killed by a character we've never heard of just so we can see how dangerous this place is. But like others have pointed out, never rule out a "psych out". I just saw a slash to the face.

I usually like Booth's art but I really hated how he drew The Legion. They looked way too young compared to their other appearances.

Robotman4, i did see what looked like a slash to Artemis's side as well as the slash to her face, but yeah, I don't think she's dead, especially with the tweets suggesting she isn't dead from Lobell.
