Well this was Fraction wasn't it? I don't think he wrote many characters well at all so odd dialogue and ooc moments aren't surprising.

I'll accept it was the Phoenix. I just won't accept that Emma freed herself. There is no indication of that at all. The psychic chaff had her down and out. Keep in mind it is in character for Jean to save Emma.

That was obviously the Phoenix, not Jean. No one, not even Fraction, thinks that a housewife from upstate New York talks like that.

Jean was no mere housewife. She was a college drop out (2 semesters!) and a successful commercial model. She was cultured and worldly.

Did she drop out of night school as well in X-Factor? I can't remember?

Who resurected Emma Frost after Magneto killed her for the gazillionth time? It was Jean, taking Astrid's place.

    Emma is Jean's toy.

Uh, no. He was 100% on point here. Subtext, please. "Little spirit"? Really?

Jean referred to people as "little speck" in Here Comes Tomorrow.

Yes, it was a vision that Emma had. But, it was also a vision that Jean gave her. Jean also helped her out and mentioned how she use to get mistaken for Maddie.

    SUNY community college?
VIVA KUSASAN!!! Morrison On Magneto: I made him into a stupid old drug-addicted idiot. CC had done a lot of good work over the years to redeem the character. And I went in and sh*t on all of it.

Agreed. No way Emma could've gotten out of that if not for Martinique interference or Jean Grey herself. He just doesn't want to spoil that she'll be back in this event.

If it's a SUNY, then it's by definition not a community college.

As a Jean fan, I don't consider that trolling. I never thought it was Jean.

But Brevoort's is about the last word I would trust on any Marvel subject.
