Well DC and Robinson specifically said that the series would not be about the Trinity. And that would not be a copy of the old Earth-Two, it is a new Earth-2.

The premise of the Earth-2 WW, which is restated every time we see a tag of inner monologue, held little promise for a more positive depiction in any case.

This sounds like the old bait and switch. It's starring Janet Leigh in "Psycho" and killing her off in ten minutes, it's Drew Barrymore in "Scream".

I don't think that's really fair; Theozilla is right, they did say this wouldn't be about the Trinity before it was released.

It's not a bait and switch at all. They said right from the beginning that Earth-2 wouldn't be about the Trinity, and they even said things along the lines of other heroes having to step up to protect the earth. They practically told you what they were going to do.

Personally I thought it was rather awesome.

You're right, but I'm thinking of the preview pages. I haven't read it yet, I'm sure it's probably good because of Nicola's artwork alone. I'll definitely buy it later, gas is too high to drive across town right now.

I can see that. If I hadn't read interviews, just saw the comic on the stands - with Bats, Supes, and WW on the cover - I might be a little miffed by the actual content.

I know Alan and Jay are going to feature in this? Anyone else? And of the female JSA-ers?

    They said Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman would appear.

    Agreed. Hermes looks amazing.

    SPOILER
It's not just WW who bites it... say buy-bye to the whole trinity. It's definitely not the old Earth2. Oh well. And it's definitely different than Azz's WW, because Hermes looks like the statues we see in Greece. He doesn't look like ET with bird feet (even if that is an interesting interpretation).

What's more interesting is how they gave Jay Garrick a "Hal Jordan meets Abin Sur" origin with Mercury.

It was a noble way to go. And from what she said the rest of the amazon's went first. Guess no Wonder Girl for Earth 2.
