Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!
If they ever did bring Gwen back, she and Peter wouldn't get back together forever. I think Marvel has made it abundantly clear that they don't want Spider-Man to be with a woman "forever."
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

And this is without even going into the whole Mary Jane Watson thing. Mary Jane is the more popular character.

Marriage is a symbol of "forever." That's the whole point of wanting to get rid of the marriage for the big characters.
But an on-again/off-again thing, with other characters slipped in between those on-again/off-again moments? That's to be expected.
Of course right now that's the thing with Spider-Man and Mary Jane. And Gwen just flat out isn't as popular as Mary Jane.

Speaking of Peter's love life.
My question is... How does this tie-in with Spider-Men? Are we going to see Peter running into alternate versions of two of his exes while he has a "new sweetheart" (not-MJ) back home? Or is Spider-Men supposed to take place before EotE and serves as an incentive for Peter to patch things up with MJ?

I would like to think that Spider-Men is a non-continuity event. However, if it is, then I'll assume that it takes place before EotE. As for a "new sweetheart", I personally feel that Peter shouldn't have anyone in his life at this time, other than Mary Jane or Betty Brant. If Peter goes to The Ultimate Universe, he's going to be in a a very huge shock upon how vastly different it is from his own world. Speaking on alternate universe, I believe if there one place that he should be sent to for a long period of time, it's The Zombieverse(Earth-2149) because he might one of the few people to lead the un-zombified survivors to the new world through the use of Mjǫlnir, Thor's hammer on that world since no one else is worthy enough to use it. But that's just my opinion.
I don't think it will be like "Children's Crusade" that specifically points out where it fits in continuity.
But I think it will also be a mini that a "casual fan" can pick up and understand. Which means Peter meeting the Ultimate versions of Aunt May, MJ and Gwen will be very sad. Which seemingly would preclude a "new sweetheart" (but not definitively, of course).

As late as it may be, I did a review for those interested. Hope you enjoy it. http://www.spidermanreviews.com/2012...r-man-685.html
So your favorite Gwen moment is from a story written thirty years after her death in the comics, that did far more damage to the character than killing her ever could. Got it.
Okay. You understand that this would be a terrible idea, right? Like, you're just speaking hypothetically? You don't honestly think it could be a good idea to undo the most classic moment in Spidey's history, the moment that changed comics forever, do you? It really is true...the internet is where the fringe crazies come to play.

I don't understand where all these Gwen fans come from. Have they've been upset about this for the past 40 years?
This makes the OMD fanatics almost look normal.
I don't understand how someone can be a Spider-Man fan and not be a Gwen fan. For me, that just doesn't compute. It seems like only on the Internet, and especially on CBR, is Gwen and Mary Jane a matter of trench warfare.
His memory's gone! Or...is it? It's not hard to fake amnesia! The Goblin is capable of anything!
