Who remembers the OMD deal?

I would assume Mephisto and any other being of a cosmic nature would remember the OMD deal that erased Peter and Mary Jane's marriage from Marvel history.

After the deal was made we did see that red pigeon go back in time and let that guy (forgot his name) out of the cop car. That pigeon was likely mephisto.

Then of course the nurse dressed in red was likely Mephisto as well...so in my opinion Mephisto definitely remembers making the deal, and I think that it makes perfect sense that he would since he needs to abide by Mary Jane's terms and stay out of Peter's life.

If Mephisto doesn't remember the deal then he wouldn't be able to do that. So, that's proof in and of itself that he remembers in my opinion.

I know...we all do. But, I'm referring to Marvel characters in general. Because as I stated if someone remembers the deal then it can be undone.


I assume Eternity can recall the deal being made. He is basically the essence of the Marvel Universe isn't he?

There was some debate on here from a while ago abut wether or not Mephisto himself remembers the deal or not.....confuzzled me greatly

From what I understand no regular Marvel characters know but really these are comics, there aren't any real rules so if a writer came along and wanted to undo OMD whether or not characters know wouldn't be much of a hurdle to get over.

The only hurdle to this happening would be whether or not the creators and editors in charge feel this would be a good idea.

Well...I would think it would be much easier to undo the deal if someone actually remembered it, and I was just trying to think of a list of Marevl characters that likely would remember the deal being made.

depends on if you think Mephisto is changed by time changes or if he exists outside of time. Do you believe Mephisto remembers when AOA happened to the 616 universe? If you do then you are on the side that believes he is outside of the timestream. If you dont then you would go with OMIT as straight forward story that shows how his actions (the bird unlocking the door) wrote him out of the deal.

I believe Mephisto exists outside of time. But, what you stated above that's in bold doesn't make any sense. Mephisto wouldn't have acted in the first place unless there was a deal. The deal not happening in the post-OMD reality is irrelevant. The deal happened in the original reality which created the post-OMD reality.

If the deal never happened then the post-OMD reality wouldn't exist to begin with. The post-OMD reality is proof that the deal happened and that Mephisto remembers it because he made the changes that formed the post-OMD reality...and he has to remember it in order to abide by Mary Jane's terms which stills carries weight even in the post-OMD reality.

It's a classic example of the domino effect.

So apparently a model was able to do what no one has ever done. Ghost Rider should really seek MJ for help on how to deal with Meph cause she is really going to help with this problem he has been dealing for years.
