X-Sanction was a prequel to AvX and wasn't really that important or relevant in the long run. And all Rulk did was get owned just like all the other Avengers did. Rulk didn't really do much.

Falcons had numerous adventures with Cap and the Avengers. Rulk is still a relatively new character. The stuff you listed in no way puts him over the distinguished careers of Black Widow, Falcon, Julia Carpenter Ironfist and Quicksilver. These characters have long, influential and distinguished careers as heroes. Rulk's has a minuscule amount of Heroics in comparison to the rest.

I already said he shouldn't be ahead of Widow or Quick silver as an avengers, i am am talking about time served with the team, Falcon is an integral cap character but as an avengers his most memorable moment was getting put on the team for diversity and then saying he never wanted to be there in the first place, it snot about how long they've been heroes it about time served with the avengers and id put rulk ahead of falcon any day of the week on that list

The list is random if you ask me. I thought the descriptions do a poor job of justifying why characters are where they are. Rulk is far from my only issue with this list.

If we did a tally of team ups and villains taken down the heroes I mentioned would definetly come out ahead.

Rulk is only on the team as a Hulk substitute

the list isn't about who is the best hero how ever

also rulk serve more as a military leader then just "Go smash this", he takes the lead, offers tactical advice, The part of the character that is ross is very prominent in his time with Avengers

Not really. On a squad with so many other prominent and more natural leaders Rulk is really just there to smash stuff.

He's a military veteran, and general, you don't get more natural then that.

I should mention this was a vote by the staff on who they like in Avengers... so a basic popularity contest for Avengers held by the IGN staff. Voters/readers might have had different opinions.

    Can we just say:
This list has Flash Thompson Venom at the 30th spot.
    Flash Venom
Who hasn't been an Avenger for more than THREE ISSUE.
    FLASH VENOM
    30TH SPOT!
THERE ARE 20 AVENGERS THEY CONSIDER LESS THAN FLASH VENOM
SOMEONE WHO'S ONLY BEEN AN AVENGER FOR 3 ISSUES!!!!

DO I HAVE TO SAY ANYTHING MORE?!!!!

I'd say Captain America, Thor, Storm and Ms. Marvel would qualify. He's also was not an overly successful military general till he became Rulk.

Yeah this list is pretty bad. Wolverine's my favorite character, and he has done plenty to put himself in the top 15, but not the top 5. My list would be something like this for the top 20:

    1) Captain America
    2) Iron Man
    3) Thor
    4) Hawkeye
    5) Wasp
    6) Hank Pym
    7) Scarlet Witch
    8) The Vision
    9) Ms. Marvel
    10) Wonder Man
    11) Black Widow
    12) Luke Cage
    13) Wolverine
    15) Black Panther
    16) Quicksilver
    17) Spider-Man
    18) She-Hulk
    19) Herc
    20) Beast

As far as overall impact to the Avengers franchise is concerned, I think that most of you will think that is a pretty fair list for the top 20...even if the numbers are switched around a little bit.

    Can't ignorance without IGN.

Seriously, their lists are always this retarded. This is hardly surprising.

Yeah, those are all characters I'd consider putting in the top 20, even if there'd be some inevitable quibbling on the order.
