I am already picking up the main AvX title comics and the occasional side titles, though this might convince me to pick up some more side titles and tie ins. This isn't a tiny issue for me as HoM along with Coipel's art 7 years ago was behind me getting back into Marvel comics after over a decade after I stopped buying them.

This might just be crazy talk, but maybe when we find out that Longshot, Shatterstar, and Scattershot are all genetically engineered from the same stock by Mojo, we'll also find out that Polaris and Zaladane are also genetic junkpiles from Mojoworld, albeit from different genetic stock.

Also, I appreciate that editorial realizes Rachel's history, and has plans to address it on-panel in an X-book even if it didn't qualify for main event status (and that Remender, as always, has done his homewhere). When it comes down to it, the Phoenix is a capricious thing and there is no telling if offering Rachel as a host would do any good, so I get why the Marvel architects aren't complicating AvX with her story. However, it's the X-office's job to tell the story of their characters, and it sounds like they plan to do it with a book that is under their control.

I wish there was a few more minis based on AvX that were put out as was the case with HoM. Hell, I picked up minis galore with that one, I think I have ever last HoM tie in other then the Thunderbolts one. I understand minis aren't selling as well as they were once upon a time, but for something as big as AvX I think fans will make an exception and AvX to date could use the kind of back of character development minis provide.
