Absolutely hysterical.I want this movie to be made in exactly the style it would have been made in 1990.With all the money Rogan and Depp and Downey are throwing away trashing Green Hornet,Lone Ranger,Sherlock Holmes these days, why can't they finance a deserved send up of Marvel?I want Paul Rubens as Nick Fury.

Oh, that's one thing they kinda missed: in that alternate reality, the Avengers would've had David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury.

Okay, his turn as Fury was several years AFTER the Hulk TV movies and Punisher & Captain America... and back then, years before The Ultimates, Nick Fury and SHIELD weren't as tied into the Avengers at all... but, still. Just imagine it: Tom Selleck, David Hasselhoff, Dolph Lundgren, Bill Bixby, Lou Ferrigno, Brigitte Nielsen... it's like the '80s puked up a superhero movie cast all the way into the early '90s.

I too LOVED those TV and direct to video movies as a kid and I can still watch them as guilty pleasures. But why hasn't anyone mentioned Elizabeth Gracen as Black Widow and if they made an Avengers movie they would have to do so without the Hulk. He died in Death of The Incredible Hulk, hints the name.

I also thought about this with the Justice League in a Parallel DC Universe:
    Dean Cain as Superman
    Michael Keaton as Batman
John Wesley Ship as The Flash
(the rest of this I'm just going to make up, based on actors from the early 90's I could see playing these parts)
    Sandra Bullock as Wonder Woman
    Dennis Quaid as Green Lantern
    Cary Elwes as Green Arrow
    Brad Pitt as Aqua Man

This could have been done with just Hulk, Thor, Daredevil, Captain A and Black Widow. With the Leader as the villain.

I've been waiting for someone to cast Tom Selleck as Tony Stark/Iron-Man for a long time now.

Of course now Selleck is old and Tony doesn't have his porn stache anymore :(

There could have been only one Captain America for such a project, and it was Reb Brown!

That looks a lot more like a patriotic Evil Knievil outfit than anything.

I remember being heartbroken as a kid when they killed the Hulk at the end of that movie and never filmed the sequel!
