Looks pretty cool. Let's see if it's as good as most authors are clamoring.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
Do they even have phone booths anymore? LoL
I've been waiting for a new Dial H book since the H.E.R.O. series in the early 2000's ended. This looks interesting, but I would have liked the dial to go from person to person like in the last series.
"Boy Chimney?" LoL. What next, Cake King? Balogna Boy? TV-Head Ted?![]()
Thus do I write the first chapter of my new scripture. And the first verse is "Let it all burn."
PHOENIX INVICTUS!
I personally think the whole 'different people' schtick was interesting for a bit, but it ultimately taught us as readers not to be too invested in the book. If the premise of that particular arc or issue seemed interesting, a pick up, but because there was no longitudinal character building and exploration there was no one to really get attached to, no reason for me to weather an arc that wasn't to my taste, because it wasn't as if anyone I cared about was being developed in any interesting way(s).
I guess I look at it this way; I'm reading a book like Swamp Thing, and there are one or two issues in the run that maybe aren't as exciting, as revelatory or conceptually dense as the others. But I weather them because at the very least I'm seeing a character I've grown to care about (hopefully) develop, make some hard, tough choices.

As if it wasn't clear before, I am hugely anticipating this. It's my most anticipated book of tomorrow, in fact. Gorgeous art. Nothing really too spectacular about that preview in terms of writing, but I'm willing to wait for it!

being a fan of the dark line i was looking forward to this but after looking at the preview pages i gotta say i would much rather get World's Finest than Dial H....unless this is the second wave's version of Animal Man with just as much potential for awesome things
Batman Batwoman Animal Man Swamp Thing Justice League Dark Uncanny Avengers Adventure Time Ghostbusters Fearless Defenders Superior Foes Of Spider-Man Mighty Avengers Pandora Rat Queens
I'm really looking forward to this.
You are an apocalypse dreaming of butterflies
and
we are a patchwork of miracles.
I'll definitely check this out. Been looking forward to it for awhile and this preview has increased my anticipation a hundredfold.
I want Pelican Man in the first issue![]()
The preview killed any interest I had in the book, which was mildly anticipatory at best. Loathsome sorrid characters becoming wacky inhuman monsters - I might check it out again in trade, but it's unlikely.
This title has some similarities to Ressurection Man. Both have the means to be a metahuman with different powers at a given time. All you folks who proclaim they're excitement for this title even before the first issue gets out should really be checking out Resurrection Man.
