    Default Dial H. #1 preview/discussion spoilers

The L.A. Times just posted the preview for Dial H. #1 here.

    What do you think?

Edit: Just read the preview and looks and reads fantastic. Definitely has me interested. I hope there'll be an extra copy when I get to my LCS.

This kind of reminds me of Jim Carey's the Mask.

Nevermind, they posted the high res links, good for them.

ANyways, looks awesome. I wonder what the main antagonist of this series is going to be. The author has been very hush hush.

Looks good. The art is great and the dialogue and inner monologues feel natural. Hope the characters are interesting. I guess I'll check the first issue of both this and Earth-2 and the winner takes a spot on my pulling list!

Can somone explain me this, because I'm not familiar with the concept of Dial H: When Nelse uses the dial, he gets the appearance and powers of Super-heroes, or he becauses the conduit of another super-powered person? To say it differently, after using the dial the guy who comes out is Nelse or a totally different guy (in this occasion Boy Chimney)?

That is pretty much it: Nelson transforms into a variety of super powered characters by using the dial. Rather like Ben 10.

Strange looking character idea, though. Why is DC crawling with monsters now? That's more of a Marvel thing, traditionally.

This looks outstanding. It's going to be up there with Wonder Woman and Animal Man.

In quality, I mean. I can't imagine that it'll sell all that well.

So its his personality? Or he changes based on the Superhero he turns into, like Jim Carey in the Mask? If his personality changes, that would be interesting (me thinks).

So this isn't the same guy using the Dial every issue is it? That'd get pretty old really quick.

I had antcipated this series highly, but reading those pages seems to have put a damper on it. Oh, well. That's why they let you sample the books beforehand, so you can gauge it before spending your money.
New Avengers, Morbius The Living Vampire, Scarlet Spider, Iron Man, Fearless Defenders, Fantastic Four, Deadpool Killogy, Savage Wolverine, Wolverine, Uncanny X-Men & X-Force, Cable & X-Force, Gambit
