    Default Diabolik

Have you ever read Diabolik? It's a italian comics very goood, well designed and well written.
In a world divided between good and bad, Diabolik is a bad right, proper and humane, a free man that has its own ethics that never betrays.

    Yes.

I have the movie (actually, pretty decent). Pacific Comics Club did a couple of albums. About 10-15 years ago an American publisher tried to publish Diabolik here and did about a half dozen albums.

The movie is not very nice, but the comics is better. In Italy is very popular and sells about 120,000 copies, while Spider-Man, published by Panini sells about 8,000 copies

The US Publisher was Scorpion Productions. They did it in 1999 with 6 volumes. The last was a sort-of origin of Diabolik.

Volumes were: Terror Aboard the Karima, Fight Against Time, Crumbs for Scum, Family with No Morals, Revenge of Eva, and Diabolik Who Are You?

Pacific Comics Club did 2 in 1986:

The volumes that you mentioned are among the best stories of Diabolik. Especially, who are you Diabolik, in italian entitled "Diabolik chi sei", is a classic tale. Even the most recent stories are beautiful. It's a pity that in the U.S. are not published.

I don't know the comics, but wasn't there a cartoon based on this in the 90's, about a thief and his step brother whose in charge of a crime syndicate. I loved that show while growing up.

Yes, Diabolik is ongoing in Italy.

They have the original series. they are published in smaller, black and white digest volumes. They have another series that reprints older stories (Diabolik Swiiss, "swiiss is the noise made by his poison darts). Diabolik R is another series.

There is even a prose series.

Diabolik is published continuously since 1962 in Italy. The publisher is Astorina s.r.l. and is based in Milano. Diabolik is published in many versions: "Diabolik inedito", "Diabolik R" and "Diabolik Swiisss". First are new adventures. Diabolik R and Swiisss are reprints in chronological order. The prize is 2,20 euro (2,89 $) and each book has 120 pages.
In Italy, It is the most famous character. If you want to read and know the Italian language, you can contact me.
