The same for me (though I may come around to Earth 2).
"'Kirby got a shitty contract too, so get over it' isn't a great tagline."

Two others voted with you on that.

And what's even scarier, three people voted for "Liefeld on three books (Grifter, Deathstroke and Hawkman)".

Now that May has come and gone, were the things people were "excited for" worth it or a let down?

(For me, Night of the Owls was hit-or-miss.)
Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I voted for Lemire taking over JLD. It was absolutely worth it. His first issue was better than Milligan's whole run.
    Current favorites:

    DC: Smallville, Supergirl, Detective Comics
Marvel: Ultimate X-Men, Scarlet Spider, X-Factor, Thor
Other: Saga, Angel & Faith, Buffy

I have to agree with you there. I'm still excited for Lemire's JLD.
