His point was that the people that complain about every statement regarding a raise in taxes seem to be the same people that want to impose incredibly harsh sentences on criminals without looking at the connection between the two. I agree with your point that you think these people would be willing to pay more in taxes to keep someone like this from having freedom. It's just kind of funny whe you consider that these same people don't seem to be willing to use that money to actually help anyone but would give it up to punish someone. This country has some messed up priorities.

Well as I said before we lock away a lot of non violent offenders. Guys with weed charges and coke charges doing about equal time to murders and rape crimes. I know a guy who grew a lot of weed doing double the amount of time with no parole here in FL. While as that girl in Poland id consider that a violent henious crime doing half the time someone who grew some pot.
