Default Will The Avengers help the Firefly Franchise?

With the Sucuess of The moive over seas and that it has a good chance of breaking US opening day records....

Will it help out Firefly or any other of Joss's pet Projects?

This will definitely help Joss Whedon until he ask Marvel for more money when Avenger 2 comes out. Then he'll be summarily fired.

Dead in a comic does not mean dead. No matter what THEY say.

Maybe. Someday. Cast getting long of tooth. Movies maybe, ala Star Trek?

    Call me. In the meantime:

    This is funny.

Anyway this hopefully means Whedon continues to direct more movies, liking his directoral work as of late.

I dont think Firefly DVD sales are going to shoot up suddenly if thats what you mean. I dont think it will affect his past work at all to be honest. Looking forward though, Im sure he'll be getting alot more respect from studio's/execs though. I think the futures bright for his um, future projects.

As cool as Firefly was I do prefer the Buffyverse, I wish he'd go back to that. Or do Fray maybe?

Yeah, I know, but that isn't what was being talked about.

Drew Goddard on Cabin in the woods
    Joss Whedon on the avengers
Jane Espenson producer/writer on "once upon a time" on tv.
    Marti Noxon producer/writer on "Glee"
    David Fury producer/writer on "Fringe"
    David Greenwalt producer/writer on "Grimm"

All the former buffy alumni writers/directors/producers are doing pretty well.
