Why is there even a thread about this?
Haven't you heard?

It think it was pretty apparent that FF #17 showing MJ with Johnny Storm was meant to be a joke and Easter Egg for that particular issue rather than making them an official couple. Because if MJ's new status quo really is indeed that's she's Johnny's new girlfriend, it makes no sense for the following reasons:
1. It goes against recent canon, in that MJ broke-up with Peter because she realized her being his girlfriend potentially put her loved ones in danger should anyone figure out his identity again. So why would she go out with another superhero whose identity is public knowledge? Not to mention the fact that her whispering "I love you" to Peter during Spider-Island goes against this as well.
2. There's no way Peter would be okay with this. Even FF #17 showed Peter getting upset when Johnny implied that he and MJ slept together when he told Peter "Mary Jane says hello," only for Johnny to then quickly go "Just messing with ya." Heck, he was even uncomfortable with Harry Osborn moving in with Mary Jane during "Brand New Day" even though Harry made it clear he had no interest in MJ anymore.
3. Johnny Storm may be reckless and immature, but he's not THAT big of a douche. Although, yes, he did "steal" Alicia Masters from Ben Grimm and married her, which thankfully turned out not to be the real Alicia but a Skrull in disguise.

Which was probably one of the reasons why Tom Deflaco came up with the "Johnny really married a Skrull" retcon, not to mention Johnny isn't exactly the marrying type. Although, to be fair, Johnny and "Alicia's" romance only happened because Ben Grimm/The Thing chose to stay behind on the planet the other heroes were taken to during the Secret Wars since he could switch back and forth between his human self at will. By the time he decided to come back, Johnny and "Alicia" were already engaged and, although Ben was seriously pissed off and attacked Johnny, he thought it was too late to do anything about it.

The real reason you know it's a joke is there's no way the Spidey guys would let the FF offices "borrow" Mary Jane at this point in time to showcase any kind of "coupleness" between MJ and Johnny.
Never mind that Hickman is leaving the FF soon.

I think that if The Black Cat x Daredevil are ok with each other as crime fighting partners. Then it's only fair to see Spider-Man x Black Widow as crime fighting partners as well. I doubt that Daredevil x Black Cat relationship would turn Spider-Man evil. By contrast, I think that a Spider-Man x Black Widow working relationship would make Felicia furious.
Kaine x Mary Jane in a romantic relationship is just as good as romantic relationship between Silver Sable x The Punisher. They are not made for each other. Personally, Kaine is better off with woman like Moondragon as his on again/off again partner!!!

First DD takes Black Cat, then Johnny takes MJ? What's next!?
