This was well written and I enjoyed it but it has a feel of the Trinity and even though a different author, I have a feeling of 'been there done that.'
I'm not sure if I want to pick up the next one. We'll see.

Sometimes the lines get blurred. Sometimes the only thing between you and them is the mask and cape.

It was fantastic, really was the best book I've read in awhile...can't wait to read more.
Pull-list: Action Comics, Batman, The Flash, Superman, Superman Unchained, Justice League
Y'know what I want this to be?
Earth 2's Superman, batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, etc.... ? They're all the grown up sidekicks.
Connor is Superman, Dick is batman, Donna is Wonder Woman, Wally is the Flash, etc....
yeah, i'd been following JSA since about 2002 or so and it had always been my favorite team book...sometimes my favorite comic. lots of changes with this new world but like you, i'm intrigued. i don't mind them changing Jay's origin...but then i have to wonder what other origins they will heavily change....
Maybe with time -- though I truly like the direction Robinson has started this book down. Truthfully, the notion of a world without Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman is an interesting idea to be explored in the DCU -- and Earth 2 is set up to do that over the long haul, not just as a mini-series.
Observe, Orient, Decide, Act
Ok, I think Robinson has found his element here. He's got room to move, his own sandbox, and I found myself caring not just about those who died, but those who are going to replace them. Little touches sold things like Joan being a grade A you-know, Mercury with his farewell to Diana, and Al taking #### for being short.
And yes, the art is amazing.
The road to truth is long, and lined the entire way with annoying bastards. ~ Alexander Jablokov
I wonder if Earth-2 ever had a Dick Grayson. It should, based on Dick's history with the Golden Age and Earth-2.
Absolutely loved this book, best of the year for me so far.
Can't wait to watch the new heroes emerge in coming issues. Although he appeared in all of about five panels, I've already developed an affinity for Jay, I think he's going to be a hero to root for.
In the beginning interviews didn't DC keep saying that Earth 2 Bats might not be Bruce, and then a lot of people started thinking Earth 2 Bats was Grayson only for us to find out that it really was Bruce? Why would Robinson be so coy about who Earth 2 Bats was if it was just going to be Bruce? I wonder if maybe at one point it was suppose to be Dick as Earth 2 Bats?
I wish DC had done something different with Earth 2 and made it that THIS Earth had other heroes before the Trinity. Sigh.... :(
