I don't want to say too much because I'm assuming most people here are Americans who haven't seen it yet, but I felt Loki was great. I wish he had more screen time (but let's face it, with a cast that big I would have said that about anyone).

One of the things this thread shows is the strength (by and large) of Marvel's casting. Apart from some notable exceptions (Sue Storm, Doom, January Jones) everyone cast has been ridiculously awesome.

Sabretooth was pretty evil. i actually liked Liev Schrieber's take on it. he was intimidating, at least.

Although I have soft spots for Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer and Tim Roth as The Abomination (that, Spider-Man 3, is how you introduce a villain in the last twenty minutes and do it properly ... and I still think he out-super-soldier'd Captain America before that) but I voted for Loki. Tom Hiddleston just knocks it out of the park. A big part of it is down to the writing too; he's exactly the kind of scheming, manipulative figure I want him to be. I think he's exactly what the Red Skull should've been. Without the family issues though.

I usually detest Hollywood makeovers of superheroes, but the Abomination was a transformation I throughly enjoy - almost to the point of seeing that rendition introduced into the '616'.
That's where my vote went, too. I'll watch anything that Tim Roth appears in because he never fails to entertain.

i love Tim Roth too. but i wish i had been in that meeting room when someone name-dropped him for the role of a special forces soldier. that is some extremely unusual thinking. Roth might be the exact opposite of what i'd be thinking of for a potential Abomination. he's definately the opposite of what i imagine for a seasoned soldier of any stripe. can Tim Roth do a push-up? i'd love to see that. i bet he'd smoke a cigarette while doing it.

Magneto as portrayed by McKellan, followed by the team up of Jigsaw & his brother James in Punisher War Zone
If I was going to skip Loki for being misunderstood rather than being a villain, then the same rule applies on Magneto

Clearly Magneto. Fassebender or McKellan, take your pick.
Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.

Ah, but Roth was playing a Jablonsky who was an S.A.S. soldier on attachment to Ross' unit. I have a couple of friends that are former members of the S.A.S. and they're not huge, imposing guys.
They are rather tough bastards that you wouldn't challenge to a fight, though.
