So including Silmarillion etc, excluding someone like Eru Ilúvatar if he is too much, which side can come out on top in all out war.

Without the top of the line, the LOTR gets stomped. Zeus, Chronos, Titans, etc. Too much firepower.
I do have to say that trying to imagine Tulkas in a wrestling match with one of the hekatonkheires is....well it's kinda blowing my mind.

Why he keeps picking up ridiculous arguments and then try to defend them, I will never know.
The fight between Hephaestus and the Balrog of Moria might be entertaining.
Balrog: Flame On!
Hephaestus: Flame OFF!
Balrog: The fuck? Flame On!
Hephaestus: Flame Off!!!!
Several Hours Later.....
Balrog: Uh, rock, paper, scissors?

Greek mythology has friggin' abstract/cosmic-level beings like Chaos (whom is the primal embodiment of existence), the Protogenoi (think Marvel Abstracts in greek form), the Fates, and countless others under their belts... the olympian greek gods and even the titans are like only higher mid-tier in the entire greek mythos at best.
Yeah Greek mythology is actually absurdly more powerful and broken than most people think. Do not underestimate them. Though granted they apparently lack a true omnipotent "God/Yahweh/Allah/Brahman-like" being, at least going by the ancient Greek religion or Classical myths that most people know about in school and stuff. Which in that case, their omnipotent Eru Illuvatar might be the only true shot the LotR-verse has (although i'm not LotR expert otherwise).

I'm curious.....which poster was downplaying the Greek side?
Was it this?
Or this one?
Was it because I said the guy that out wrestles the Satan analogue having a match with Briareus would be nifty to watch?
Eh, I guess I just don't get the level of defense presented so it made me curious.

^ Eh no one (yet). Don't mind me mate. I was just trying to show the true capabilities of a real mythos/religion or ancient/traditional literary figures or whatever just in case anyone comes in and says "omg god 1 got killed by a mortal slashing him". Transient Guest, just check your inbox for more of what I have to say.
That said, Eru Illuvatar is the only chance LotR-verse has at winning. I gotta watch the LotR movies online sometime this year.
