Uh oh. This thread has jumped the tracks into metefictional detours and furry-based fetishism.
I asked Mrs, Dr. Sonic if she thought Wolverine is an attractive guy (clarifying that I wasn't referring to Hugh Jackman). After rolling her eyes at me, she surprised me by stating that Logan in early Astonishing (drawn by Cassidy) is very handsome, whereas Logan drawn in UXF (multiple illustrators) is rather ugly.
With a sample size of one, it's no shocker that my hypothesis testing came up with inconclusive results,
The thing is, often I find the "less attractive" Wolverine more attractive. :) (More the hairy-backed squat muscular one. I don't mean that bizarre noseless phase he briefly had in the 1990s.)
Not just Beast, but Wolverine, and Cyclops. The ending where she finally sticks it out with Cyclops represents Claremont's feelings that while he has to put up with editors and the franchise's direction he doesn't much like or care for, he still is loyal to the brand because of the history "they" shared together. Jean [Claremont] has been around Marvel too long and Cyclops [insert editor names and artists he is at odds with] that he will stay with them out of desperate personal attachment because of the decades he spent writing these characters that he cannot imagine a life otherwise.

You're talking about X-Men Forever, right?
Yes, I just call it X-Men Corrections because it's fan base referred to it as such. I find the term amusing. Kind of like the Sonic SATAM labeling. I keep thinking "Sonic SATAN???!?!?!" Is that even something they can get away with in the Sonic comics?

It depends on which interpretation of Wolverine you’re talking about. I’m re-reading X-Treme X Men right now. And his interaction with Storm in helping her get on her feet is very touching.
I tend to be attracted to big muscular men who are easy on the eyes (think Bruce Wayne/Cannonball/Cable) and who dress well. But pretty gets old very fast, especially if he’s a jerk or just not likeable (ie. Cyclops). But I could see myself going out with a Logan/Wolverine. Because he’s kind and chivalrous and not dumb.

Hmmm. I wonder--for those of us who don't think Wolverine is hot, and those of us who do--I wonder how people fall on the "younger/older Sean Connery is hotter" spectrum. For me, for example, I definitely vastly prefer bearded mature Sean Connery (Oh! Daddy! ahem) to younger cleanshaven really boring James Bond Sean Connery, and I also consider Logan to be much hotter than, well, most of the men in the Marvel Universe. (I still can't believe they covered up nude hairy Hercules' rump with a word balloon in Avengers Academy this week!!
)
Definitions of attractiveness is probably different in the mutant community then the human community.
Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way.

Neither? LOL!
But I far as actors go I go tend to like mature looking men. Sean Bean, Djimon Hounsou, Ralph Fiennes. I'm also drawn to petite men like Alan Cummings, Tim Roth, Dominic Keating, Tom Hiddleston... Hell, maybe it's an accent thing or a nose thing or a deep set eye thing or a mix of all of the above... /shrug
Always had a thing for blue.
Wolverine is not my type. I'm into nice guys who happen to be geeks. If Sam were geekier, that would be my real life type.
I am disappointed if I can see any of the art clearly. I want to have to squint at it through a dense forest of speech bubbles and narration boxes.
If I had to choose a Sean Connery, it would be the older one, though I can't say I consider either "hot".
I tend to like the more unconventional looking ones. Gary Oldman in some of the parts he played(The Scarlet Letter comes to mind), Liam Neeson when he was slightly younger, that type.
