Then you haven't been reading X-men comics for very long. He was originally very short. Basically only Puck was taller than he was, and everyone made fun of Logan for being short. And he was also very hairy. He was built and looked more like Gimli than Aragon.

There have been a lot of different iterations of Wolverine. In general, however, he's supposed to be pretty short and not especially attractive, but possessing a certain animal magnetism that some women quite like.

I think this changed a lot after the movies came out and his popularity further exploded. You can see someone like Mystique or Domino going after Wolvie. And Jean they made her lust after him, but there was a level of unease about it. But as he got more popular, more well known, he got prettier, etc.

no they pretty much have little in common. Comics Wolverine is 5 foot 3. Hugh Jackman is around 6 foot something. The builds of their bodies is different. And Wolvie has some very unique facial hair
