I am looking for a good story line with Tim Drake either as the lead or with major involvement. I am hoping for a TPB, does anyone have a suggestion for one I should look into? Thanks!!!!

Tim was the protagonist of the Red Robin series that ended last year. I think the date of the series' publication was 2008-2011. It was 20-something issues so it should be manageable to collect the whole thing in trade or singles. I didn't care for the series that much but I'm not a Tim Drake fan, so there you go.
Well he appears as a major character in Knightfall, Young Justice, Robin ongoing and then later Red Robin ongoing. He's currently in the new 52 Teen Titans. He also played a role in Identity Crisis.
I'm not a TPB expert so I have no idea what directions to give you there. I'm pretty sure Red Robin had a TPB and I hear Knightfall is going to be re-published.
Remember me? No? I'm the guy who gets all his facts about comics from Wikipedia!
Currently Reading: Robin (ongoing)
Looked it up for you and the first trade is called "The Grail", and this is the cover:
So that is where you would get started.
The concept is that Batman (Bruce Wayne) is believed to be dead, but Tim doesn't accept that and begins a search for Bruce and travels the world under his new identity of "Red Robin."
1. His first appearance was a cameo in Batman #436, part of the Year Three storyline.
2. A Lonely Place of Dying (Batman #440-442, New Titans #60-61. Reprinted with Death in the Family in a DC Comics Library hardcover)
3. New Titans #65 - Grayson trains Tim in the art of detective work.
4. Rites of Passage - Detective Comics 618-621 (collected in Robin: Tragedy & Triumph)
5. Identity Crisis - Batman 455-457 (collected in Robin: A Hero Reborn)
6. Robin, first miniseries (collected in Robin: A Hero Reborn)
7. Batman 465-470
8. Detective Comics 635-637
9. Robin II: The Joker's Wild, second miniseries (collected in Robin: Tragedy & Triumph)
10. Batman 480
11. Detective 644-649 (Spoiler debuts in 647. Get 650, too; it's pretty fun.)
12. Robin III: Cry of the Huntress, third miniseries
13. Superman #70, Superman: The Man of Steel #14 - Tim & Superman vs Vampires.
14. Knightfall
15. Showcase '93 #5, 11-12
16. Showcase '94 #5-6
17. Robin ongoing series #0-128, and its annual specials (the title obviously continues, I stopped reading because of the miserable War Games arcs. Issues 1-6 collected in Flying Solo.)
18. Superboy & Robin: World's Finest III
19. Robin Plus #1: Impulse
20. Robin Plus #2: Fang
21. Robin & Argent Double Shot
22. Robin 80 Page Giant(s)
23. [Girl-Frenzy] Young Justice: The Secret
24. JLA: World Without Grownups (There is a recent reprint of this 2-issue miniseries in DC Comics Presents: Young Justice #1.)
25. Young Justice (the original series by Peter David & Todd Nauck, not the one based on the cartoon.)
26. Sins of Youth: a Young Justice event with a bunch of special issues.
27. Other YJ specials: 80-Page Giant, Our World at War, No Man's Land, Secret Files. Some of these are reprinted in DC Comics Presents: Young Justice #2 & 3.
28. Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day. I don't recommend this at all, because of its misery, shock value, and pointless tragedy rolled into one. But it leads into the next Teen Titans series.
29. Teen Titans #1-8. This is the best the series gets, but that's damning with faint praise.
30. Red Robin #1-26.

Chris Yost's short run on Red Robin (yum) was really good. They are collected in two TPBs.
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!
The best Tim Drake stuff are the many Robin issues written by Chuck Dixon. Unfortunately, most have not been collected.

A Hero Reborn and Flying Solo trades from his solo are good.
A nice one shot that highlight the differences between Tim and Dick and also shows why they both deserve to be Robin.

Thank you guys!!!! I will start looking into these asap :)
Current Teen Titans series is a glorified Tim Drake and friends series and is pretty good usually. Assuming you're looking for trains, I'd recommend the Fabian Nieceza run of Robin, collected in Search for a Hero. I think every decent story is listed.
I would like to say for the record that this is the FIRST TIME I've withheld dong when someone was so desperately asking for some.

Great thread! I'm a huge tim drake fan and am working on a full run his robin series before i go on to young justice and teen titans. (Plus RR and the reboot TT) (it's good to have a hobby) this the best post, i love filling in bits and pieces when he cameos in other comics; i would never have found that superman thing for one! It hasn't been collected but recommend #s 139-145 (146?) A top secrect military squad wants tim to join up! We learn a lot about how tim sees things as well as how others see his skills. Plus kicking demon butt in the desert. It over laps with omac (olmac? Those glowing blue robot things) tie in. I haven't read the rest of the omac arc, but what they show in robin is pretty cool. So...... that post got a bit long.... sorry
