    Default Brand New Prometheus Trailer

Very excited for this film. Great marketing campaign with these trailers and viral videos. Here is the latest one. Amazing.

Fassbender said a while back that they are in the movie.

Wow, 2.33 is some scary shyt.

Off-topic, but upon first view of this trailer, I found I was distracted by the whole 'From Ridley Scott... director of Alien... director of BLADE RUNNER... director of GLADIATOR' thing. I half expected it to go on for a little while. It was kind of a 'Yeeeah, I'm badass' sort of thing. I mean, they could have just mentioned 'director of Alien', since its appropriate for an 'Alien' prequel. 'Blade Runner' kind of fits in there because it's sci-fi. But by 'director of Gladiator' I was rolling on the floor. It's a good movie and all, but what's it got to do with 'Prometheus'? Heck, why end there? Why not throw in 'G.I. Jane' or 'Thelma & Louise'?

Sorry about that. Have been watching a lot of TGWTG reviews lately.

Gladiator made more money, more people have seen it. Blade Runner did do well when it came out, and is still kind of a cult movie I think.

From the trailers it seems that David is going to mess with the pre-xenomorphs Aliens and somehow the main chick is going to get "impregnated" and maybe spawn the queen that lays the eggs in Alien.

I don't know, the Queen wasn't a Ridley Scott thing, he could be going back to how the eggs were made in the cut scene. A few things in this seem like leftover Dan O'Bannon stuff...well, the whole temple anyways.

That shot of the guys face melting is brutal. I'm thinking it's the helmet melting onto his face. You know like when you burn plastic and it drips? Imagine that, but a whole helmet, dripping onto your face. Ouch.

There is no way this film won't be Rated R.

Agreed; and when it comes to sci-fi horror, I can't help but feel a little discouraged when a film is cut to meet PG-13 guidelines.

Ridley Scott liked "Aliens", so I doubt it's going to contradict that film with regards to the final development of the Xenomorph as we know it.

A Fox exec has said that it will be R. That they're not going to for cuts to be PG-13.

    Yeah, baby!

After watching Hunger Games last night and thinking "man, what they could have done with this movie if it wasn't PG!", that's a huge relief.
