I feel like Northstar's (and I'm by no means a big Northstar fan either) arrogant ass needs a man that will put his ego in check & not be so whiny & helpless. When Northstar is the less annoying of a pair then it's a truly sad state of events. Plus... both of these bitches are clearly bottoms, I just don't get how this "relationship" was ever supposed to work.

I only know him from the last two comics, so I don't know the character to well.
Based on the comments it seems like he gets kidnapped often, and that is just a lame personal plot tool for Northstar.

Maybe he will grow on me if he becomes a background character.

Sooo many reasons... his track record with women hasn't been too good (didn't Polaris say that they never had sex?), he once dated a transgendered person, he doesn't respond to Warbird's propositions (and, even if he did, she's obviously the man in that relationship).... I could go on and on. And, considering his dad's reaction to him being a mutant, it makes sense that he'd repress any other traits that weren't "normal."

Honestly, I think Bobby would be much more interesting if he were gay or bisexual. Currently, he's the insecure jokester that does cool stuff with ice. That's about it. :/

I guess my impressions of Northstar were forged during the initial run of Alpha Flight, where he was portrayed as vein, self-assured, and hyper-privileged. Then again, I've mentally deleted the entirety of Chuck Austen's run on X-Men from my memory banks, so again I might not be the best to comment on the matter.
