Do you like Kyle? (Northstar's boyfriend)

Northstar recently has got himself a non-mutant, non-powered boyfriend... and from the comments in the Astonishing X-men thread... he's none too popular. So I'm curious what the general consensus is with the X-board.

Hey I'd rather read Kyle/Northstar garbage than deal with anymore Rogue/Gambit or Rogue/Magneto crap.

I don't mind Kyle and certainly don't hate him. I can only recall a handful of appearances and really haven't had enough to base any judgment on. Although I must say that he's not the kind of guy I expected Northstar to end up with.

This reminds me of every novel writer' approach and handling of romantic relationships within their stories. Can we get a new romance paradigm?

Hate him. I feel bad saying that cause he's a minority gay character, which doesn't seem to happen too often in comics, and I appreciate the diversity he brings to the table, but still... hate him. He's a whiny, annoying damsel in distress! So far, he's stalked Northstar, whined about the scene he witnessed after stalking Northstar, whined about being flown home, *and* he can't even clean the house! I mean, what is he good for? >:/

Also, he's standing in the way of a potential Northstar + Iceman relationship, so that means he really needs to die asap.

Not much. I like the idea of Northstar with a boyfriend, but Kyle is dramatic and annoying. Jean-Paul deserves someone who can at least call him by the right name.
