Apollo and Midnighter vs a Red Lantern.
Is anybody still reading this book?
I feel DC really blew it with this one. I remember they were hyping this book up as a big deal with the New 52 that would really be a key book that everyone would have to read, and now I forget it exists. Cornell's arc kinda sucked and I think it might be too late with this one. I never hear people talking about it.
its okay, I read it when I can. I know its not as good as Batman, which is a title I have no interest in (as of now), but the art is not to my looking, along with Grifter's too. Voodoo is really the only good Wildstorm book
Cornell's arc was alright, but could have been so much better. Jenkins's run was forgettable, with really bad and overused technobabble. Hopefully Milligan gives this book the direction it needs.
I gave this title a go, wasn't terrible, but frankly it wasn't very good either. Hopefully it improves under Milligan, but I though Cornell's arc was very average.
It still is important, especially with how Martian Manhunter was shown in Justice League #8. It's not DC's fault that readers only want to read Batman.
Giving Stormwatch shot with Milligan coming onboard, and from that preview it seems like that would be a good idea. I think when Cornell left and Jenkins was filling in their wasn't a lot DC could say about the book, so it lost a lot of steam during that whole period.
Midnighter looks good. Sees the enemy, hits the weak stop. That is The Midnighter. Appollo`s dialogue felt awkward as hell, though. "Need ... more... solar power" made me feel like I was back in ´86.
