We are talking about the Bat family, though. And you have to admit that the female side got it worst. Regressed, killed off, benched. The only one that wasn't affected is Kate. And that's probably because they planned the book before the reboot.
I'm upset about what Superman and Flash lost, but the thread is not about them.
Yeah, but to be fair the OP is about comparing the New 52 situations of male and female Bat-family characters, not make and female characters in the DCU in general (not that I think there is some policy out to screw female Bat-family characters or something, just that the male Bat-family members seemed to have benefited overall a little more form the relaunch than the women).
I was just trying to point out that, far from being a conspiracy against the female bat-characters, this has happened across the entire DC line.

Pretty much.
It wouldn't be so troubling if at least the male members of the Bat family suffered a similar fate. But most of them remain untouched or had - at best - cosmetic changes (Nightwing) and - at worst - part of their history erased (Tim, who lost his time in Young Justice, though that is not stopping him from now being leader of the Teen Titans)
There's something called the Smurfette Principle, and since Batwoman is not featured in any of the other bat books and is not even part of the Court of Owls, this seems to be the rule for the new Bat family. As many boys as you want and one girl.

That's clearly not true. We have Batgirl, Catwoman, the Birds of Prey and Huntress in Worlds' Finest. Not to mention Harley in Suicide Squad. Hell, even Batwoman. She's clearly part of the Bat-family, even if she rarely interacts with them. Yeah, for the most part they're different from their pre-Flashpoint selves, but they're all still there. So say what you want about the potential negative changes and benching of Cass and Steph, but the Smurfette principle definitely isn't at play.

Dick became Robin at 16 now.
Is it confirmed that he lost all his TT history? Because there's a flashback of the team in Outlaws. And he was still Robin. It's even worse, because even if he got de-aged (by what? two years) he still apparently lead a team and became Batman. Babs can barely lead herself.
Let's not get started on what Catwoman lost with the reboot. That aside, you can't consider her a bat family member at this point, she doesn't even know that Bruce is Batman. The Birds of Prey operate in Gotham, but their only connection to the bat family is Barbara. Harley is a villain and the less is said about the ridiculous things DC has done to her with this reboot, the better. Does the Bat family (the one for this universe) even know Huntress exists?
Batwoman is not even part of the Court of Owls, something that should be targeting all members of the Bat family. Even Batwing is involved, yet Kate and Cass aren't? Ridiculous. The only female bat that has been in almost every bat book is Babs.
