Mysterio brings together two heroes in historic 'Spider-Men'

If Ultimate Mysterio really doesn't have anything to do with 616 Mysterio, I'd be pretty cool to see the two of them join forces to bring down two Spider-Men. And if they are unrelated, something like this would give Mysterio a bigger scope of things seeing that their universe isn't the only one out there.

I think it would be neat if 616 Mysterio attempted to form an alliance with Ultimate Mysterio only to have Ultimate Mysterio kick him to the curb and attempt to take over 616 since he has so far failed in the UU. Maybe even attempt to gain the 616 Zodiac Key since ours is virtually out of reach for him.

As in: This whole crossover starts because of 616 Mysterio but the real threat is through Ultimate Mysterio.

That just reminded me of the TMNT crossover Turles Forever where while the 80's universe caused it all, it was the 2003 Shredder who proved to be the supreme threat. Although they had to dumb down the 80's characters for it to all work.

Still wish that Slott was involved in this considering that Amazing is his territory right now though I'm sure that Bendis compared notes before this started. Another thing I wonder is when this'll take place considering that Ultimate Spider-Man will continue while this is going on making it harder to track on the Ultimate timeline. But above all else, I can't wait to see just what the ramifications for all of this are by story's end. While painful to see, I'd like to see Peter visit Ultimate Peter's grave to honor his Ultimate counterpart.

So the Mysterio that was unmasked during Shrouds first arc was actually 616 Quentin Beck? That means that Ultimate and 616 have been crossing over since after Ultimatum.

that's one of the key points that makes this crossover not only okay with me, but awesome. It's such a good villain story.

I'm sorry that you don't like this story (because it's awesome to me), but I have thoroughly enjoyed your gradual decline into hatred for this series.

Mysterio was already the cause of the Shattered Dimensions video game meeting between 616 and the UU. So Marvel is basically (again) recycling a video game story for the comics (the same thing happened for the Ultimate Spider-Man video game, which lent ideas and plot to the War of the Symbiotes story arc many years later in the comics.)

Perhaps 616 Mysterio really IS Ultimate Mysterio. Or maybe they'll meet. So many possibilities.

You could say that they recycled the Timestorm storyline too. When 616 Peter crossed over to the 2099 universe and met a young Miguel O'Hara. Hopefully Peter doesn't do the same thing to Miles as he did to Miguel. Which was essentially telling him to quit being Spider-Man.

I'm thinking Bendis may need to take notes from our regional M. Night Shyamalan, Nick Spencer. The key to creating a big plot twist is not spoiling it over twitter 2 months before the mini even starts.
