"'Kirby got a shitty contract too, so get over it' isn't a great tagline."

It was a very good animated series, but honestly I found the DCAU Superman to be kindof dull and wooden. I guess I'm just accustomed to guys like George Reeves and Christopher Reeve who ooze charisma. They were larger than life. And I didn't like Superman getting his ass kicked all the time or straining like he's about to die during every super-feat. It wasn't so much that he wasn't as powerful as in the comics, just that he came off like.. every day was a sick day. Like at the beginning of the episode, something happened to him to reduce his powers and left him sluggish. When he saved the plane from crashing in the pilot movie, it wasn't "wow, a man saved a jumbo jet with his bare hands" it was "why was he having such a hard time with that plane?".

What I give the Animated Series the most credit for is its Brainiac rendition.
Whenever my father watched the show with me, he kept saying Superman's character was gay, so now in my mind Superman is gay.
Regin, your my favourite poster on the site. I'm still trying to work out if your a troll or not.
