That isn't how her powers work though, unless they have been changed since the last time I paid attention. The last I knew she had limited to no choice in how her powers worked. Just random bad things would happen to people who attacked her, or anyone who was regularly near her. She never put hexes on people, that was not part of her power set.
Life looks better in black and white.
I believe, based upon the appearance that she is able to direct them as she pleases within her immediate vicinity. At least, that's how it made it seem. OF course, it doesn't work when she's not around, so that still doesn't work, but it's not completely happenstance.
And for what it's worth,it doesn't appear to have ever been truly uncontrollable, as if you read the original run in Spectacular, bad things seemed to happen in tandem with her emotional state. That is, when she was angry at Peter, bad stuff started happening to him.

I never said that they would establish a friendship after one issue. It would take a period of years, in publishing terms to see those types of friendships develop. Just as it took a period of years for Spidey to develop a friendship with Logan, Matt, and Johnny respectively.
See, you brought up Captain America and Red Hulk and put them in the same sentence as Wolverine, Daredevil and Human Torch. The comparison came from you.
I agree that team-ups are fun. But this kind of thing that you make every single one of your posts about is very confusing. You claim you aren't shipping Peter with anyone and yet you say Spidey should have the kind of "partnership" with Black Widow that she had with Daredevil (which was a sexual relationship.)
Also, what's wrong with Peter having solo adventures and letting books like Avenging have him team-up with random characters? It doesn't need to mean anything beyond an issue or two team-up for fun? Who cares if they don't team up with Spidey again for years?

I think it was doomed the moment in Punisher (by Rucka) that it was revealed Carlie was dating Detective Bolt there months back. It was in November/December when it was revealed.

Well to be fair dude ... publishing wise :
Fear Itself - April-October 2011
X-Men Schism - July-December 2011
Children Crusade - 2010-2012
In all I can see why they would say Schism happened after those events. Except for Spider-Island . I know it started in 2011. But with Schism , it really came out after the Fear Itself and Children's Crusade storylines began.

But it was over first. And Children's Crusade does kinda make things a little confusing. But the issue where the cop talks about dating Carlie would have to come after her break-up with Peter because then it would have spoiled their break-up. (Although those kinds of spoilers do happen at times.)

With regards to The Black Widow, I was talking in retrospect around the time when she first battled with Spidey, there should have been a follow up to ASM #86. I simply felt that The Black Widow x Spider-Man could have had some interesting stories at that time. Spider-Man in the Black Widow's world could have been fun to read about in ASM.
As for the type of relationship between Spider-Man x Black Widow, it's just a working relationship. It can't be compared to her relationship with Daredevil, with was sexual, as you described. Fast forward to the present, if there is going to be more adventures between The Black Widow and Spider-Man, it's likely going to be featured in a potential mini-series outside of ASM. I am sure that the Black Widow will want Spider-Man to team-up with her (after going through all those recent adventures together in End of Earth storyline) on one of her solo adventures in case Bucky is unavailable. It would be nice to see them work together once again in the future.
I do agree that ASM should be about Spider-Man and his world. However, since he's an Avenger, it's likely that a few team-up adventures with them in a big story arc will occur every once in awhile.
Looks like Carlie quickly found someone else after she rid herself of Peter Parker. The Peter Parker luck works every time.

Team-ups are fun. Trying to argue in favor of some kind of "working relationship" sounds boring and unfun. Let the Team-Ups be random and fun. I want to see one story where Spidey is teamed up with The Human Torch and the next where he teams up with Tigra and the next where he teams up with Frankenstein's Monster and the next with Havok and the next with The Scarlet Witch and the next with The Silver Surfer and the next with Mockingbird.
Trying to force team-ups just sounds very boring to me.

I am not trying to force any team ups at all. When I talked about the said heroines, I was implying that the ones I have mentioned have mutual feelings for Spider-Man. And the only way for a mutual relationship to be establish is by dating. And I believed that part of the relationship should be kept in the background, like the one he has with Carol Danvers as friends. The reason why I felt that Ms. Marvel, Silver Sable, Psylocke, Spider-Woman, She-Hulk, or Black Widow could work is because of shared interest in the same manner as he had with The Black Cat before OMD ever happened. This is just a list of heroines who might have an interest with Spider-Man. It does give another writer the option of using any one of them from that list to use in a story with Spider-Man. I never said that any of these heroines will ever have the sort of relationship that Spidey had with the Pre-OMD Black Cat. But the list comes quite close to the sorts of heroines who would want a similar relationship with Spider-Man.
