I waited to read this until I could read Batman first, so I could read the stories in correct sequence. For a stand-alone story, and as an owls tie-in, I thought it did pretty good on both accounts. This is certainly a new and different Black Mask, but that's really nothing new for the DCnU.

Great issue, much better than Batman #9 this month! I enjoyed the action as well as seeing characters such as Clayface in the New 52's universe, he looked great as did some of the other cool villains shown, overall I really enjoyed issue #9 and it still remains my favorite Batman title on store shelves today. I'm kind of getting tired of the Owls, but I'm sure this storyline will be wrapped up soon with bigger and better things on the horizon. :)
Not "almost forgettable", forgettable. I've been having a hard time remembering anything about it other than Two-Face being involved, for a bit I actually forgot this series is having back-ups!
I've just about decided to drop this. I haven't enjoyed it since the Dollmaker issues, I REALLY enjoyed those. I've only been holding out with this series as I love the Joker too much and know there will probably be a development in the storyline the moment I stop buying it. But I need to cut down on spending and this series was already near the bottom of my list, but now it's more expensive and has a waste of space at the back that I couldn't care less about. Hmm
I actually thought the lead story was good this time though. But it didn't need Batman to actually be involved.
And to think that back in the Dollmaker arc this was actually one of my favourite comics on the stands.
Avengers Arena is one of the best books in the shops right now, it's seriously amazing.
Show Teddy some love!
