Top 5 favorite current books (in no particular order): Batman Inc., Batman, Batman and Robin, Daredevil, Superior Spider-Man
I thought it was a pretty fun issue, I liked that the original clayface was used.
One thing, this is the first issue I've picked up since issue two so maybe I missed it, but was the Two Face back up part of an on going plot thread?
I believe the last issue (8) of Detective was the start of the back-up, and aside from his arc towards the end of Daniel's pre-New 52 Batman, he had only appeared in the first couple of issues of the New 52 Batman: The Dark Knight (as "Onesies" . . . I mean "One-Face").
So no redemptive arc that would make deciding to make him a DA again sound like a sane idea? It's a comic so I'm used to crazy ideas, and it could very well be a ploy and not a sincere offer but I was just wondering what lead up to it.
I haven't been reading detective and just got it because of the crossover but has black mask always been able to control peoples minds or is that new do they explain that in another issue
Yeah--I mean, I think I can kinda get what Daniel is going for--taking the concept of cronyism and corruption in city government to it's absolute extreme...but while it's not quite up to the level of, say, Norman Osborne running the Marvel U for a couple of years, it's up there. My suspension of disbelief can only go so far.
The ninjas was what got me because they literally came out of NOWHERE. Which, of course, is what ninjas are supposed to do, but...WHAT?
Right there with ya. I'm trying to like this book, I am, but Tony just doesn't work for me. I've never been too keen on the He-Man looking "I can bench press a freight train" looking Batman. Hoping a darker, edgier, slinking-in-the-night type of mini or something comes along until one of the regular Bat titles goes that direction.
"Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to shake things up, but we're going to have to get some pants on this one."
Since when did Black Mask have mind controlling powers?
David Finch poisoned the well for me. Ugh.

I thought it was pretty "meh." The art was great, but the tale was just so "blah." I liked all the inmates attacking the Talons, but what happened to the Talons? Surely they weren't killed by a bunch of crazies.
Exactly. I can buy Riddler becoming a PI, simply because he had brain damage and forgot himself, or whatever. But Two Face, just plain old Two Face given the opportunity to become DA again... You mean the insane guy who has killed a lot of people, no brain damage, no repenting, no nothing? Yeah, no.
I did like this issue, but it feels odd considering how in Batman Bruce hasn't left the manor yet, so it feels a bit jilted to me. I'm sure it'll make more sense to me once all the Night of Owls business is done with.
Overall I did like it, and hopefully we'll be getting some Arkham Asylum shenanigans in the future. Seriously, why can't they ever get a sane individual to run this place?
