    That would be a woman in pain and stripped naked. Since Joker's purpose was to try to break Jim Gordon, it is not much a reach to suggest that he not only stripped her but did more. No the actual art doesn't show anything beyond her nudity but I wouldn't say that anyone who thinks more than that is implied is automatically wrong.

    True, it is an easy to leap to conclusion, but it is not implied in the story. Every story to reference the event since then, including the recent Batgirl series, also make it pretty clear he only took pictures, so continuity wise she was not raped.

    However, stipping someone naked and taking pictures of them against their will is still sexual assault even if it isn't rape.
